    Very good and intense atmosphere.
The waitress in the Marktschenke smashed 5 or 6 beer (0,5 l) in the wall. So bad.

The museum is only open on certain days so we could not go inside. We did go out into the garden which has a fantastic view of the town. It's also filled with shade trees and benches so you can enjoy your time there. The hike up to the castle is a steep walk up an uneven cobblestone street so it is definitely not for everyone.

We visited here on a real scorcher of a day so a big focus was simply trying to stay cool. Tourists filled the streets as well as a variety of vendors. The cobblestone streets are charming for a stroll and the building facades are beautiful. A variety of restaurants are available, many with outdoor dining. Parking was just outside the Old Town in a large structure and was not expensive. You could spend a couple of hours or an entire day here depending on your interests and dining.

From the entrance right through the top floor one exciting exhibition after another. Antic cars, racing cars, motorbikes, bicycles, toys and so much more. Lovingly restored. A dream for most men and women and certainly children. That all for a modest entry fee.

Even the restaurant is outstanding from excellent service to the top quality of coffee and meals.

Nicely restored house on the Neckar river where Holderlin spent the last third of his life. You can listen to readings of some of the famous poems, track the creation of the elegies modeled on Pindar, and learn about the love of his life (a French woman). One of the best parts is the beautiful garden. Also, don't forget to get a coffee on the bank just above the Turm. The experience for non-German guests would of course be much enhanced if there were translations. How difficult must this be?

This church is worth a visit even if it's a short one. The interior is beautiful and quite interesting. It's located centrally so it's only a short walk to most places in town.

A remarkable museum building on a couple of hundred of years of collecting artifacts from across the world. H Schliemann, the discoverer of Troy came from here, as were other world-renowned archeologists and anthropologists. The museum is justifiably famous for the Paleolithic art (40,000 years old miniatures of horses, lions, mammoths), exceptional Etruscan and Greek artifacts (statues, vases, urns) include a huge hall with life-size replicas of iconic Greco-Roman statues; rooms devote to the Celts (Hallstatt culture) and neolithic lake dwellers. This is an old style European museum rather than a soulless New World one brimming with philanthropy dollars, misinforming the public through rabid wokism and systematic attacks on the Western culture.

Very impressive building in the Marktplatz.

We did not go inside, but it is beautiful to look at from the outside.

Lots of shops in the area.

The Black Forest region in southwest Germany is known for its evergreen forests and beautiful villages, but of all the small towns and villages Tübingen would be my favorite city in the region. Tübingen is home to one of the oldest universities in Germany. The city is brimming with activity. The great restaurants' beautiful buildings, flowers and punting boats make this small city a must see if you visit the region. Tübingen, Germany
