Syracuse University Reviews
Rating 3.65 out of 5 3,584 reviews
Syracuse is a great school and has a fantastic array of different opportunities for everyone and anyone. It has all of the different seasons, a ton of diversity, a million clubs and organizations to take part in, and so much more. I have loved my time at Syracuse University so far, I cannot wait to continue my academic career here at SU!
Syracuse University has a lot of school spirit. There are always people wearing orange on campus! I'm impressed by the number of student organizations and the range of academic offerings. I recommend the school to students interested in studying at Newhouse or within the architecture program and athletes. Otherwise, the cost of studying at Syracuse may not be worthwhile for the quality of the education. A lot of the funding goes toward Newhouse (reasonably so because it is the top journalism school in the US) and toward sports and sports facilities. The housing options are average at best and for upperclassmen, it can be difficult to find housing off campus due to the city's housing shortage. If you really enjoy going out to parties and other events, this may be the school for you. There is an impressive music scene with a number of appealing house shows, frats, sports houses, etc. However, there are many students who do not constantly go out.
Syracuse University is a college that grants so many different opportunities. My favorite thing about this school is that there are so many students from all across the country, and globe. This allows students to meet a diverse array of backgrounds, perspectives, and creates connections that would never have been made otherwise. One notable aspect that many students enjoy is the university's strong sense of community and school spirit, especially during sporting events and other campus-wide activities. The university also has a beautiful campus with historic buildings and modern facilities, providing a conducive environment for learning and socializing. The biggest downside would have to be the cost but the experiences and connections you make are worth it in the long run.
