Years back, I had their lobster ravioli and a crisp dry local white wine for lunch in their garden and just returned for my fourth visit, traveling way out of my way to do so. No disappointments whatsoever. My favorite meal was as good as ever and I ventured to stay overnight this time, in a lovely spacious room with a balcony overlooking the historic square. Hospitality was exemplary, attentive but easy-going, conducive to a relaxing stay. Their off season rate was a real bargain also. Our thanks to your staff,

Had a pleasant table in the bar of the Swiss Hotel where I could watch the locals and tourists stop in for a beverage or a meal. Front patio was on a first come basis. Had a special of the day that I discovered sold out rather quickly...see photo. Everyone was extremely pleasant. Salad was fresh.

My husband and I came with another couple and just happened upon this gem in Sonoma Square. We dined in the garden patio after walking through the more formal dining area. It looked wonderful. The garden patio was casual, wait staff was very attentive and food was delicious and fresh. We all shared the burrata,I had a Caesar salad, my husband had a steak sandwich (cooked to perfection). Also the linguine and prawns and penne pasta. All was delicious. If we were in this area longer, we would definitely return for dinner. Did I say the wait staff was was awesome?

We met friends for lunch and had a spot outside by the side walk. It was warm and sunny and the service was outstanding. The good was excellent. Prices were reasonable and we were not rushed or hassled at all. I had a baby spinach salad with grilled chicken. It was dreamy. Just the right size. Hubby had a parmesan chicken with pesto pasta. I sampled the pasta, it was very tasty.

WOW!! Newf on the Loose gazed adoringly at the very nice lady who served us at the Swiss Hotel on Sonoma's pleasant square. We had one of those rare meals you never forget, made that way by warm, friendly service, superb food and several tables of strangers who instantly became neighbors. I could almost hear Jimmy Buffett singing "I wish lunch could last forever" as we savored a perfect restaurant experience. The fried polenta appetizer, pizza #5 with its roasted garlic and grilled pears, and the seafood ravioli were out of this world. One group recommended the pizza to us, while showing us phone photos and swapping travel stories with us; we proceeded to "sell" the same pizza recommendation to another couple who came later. All of us enjoyed hanging out at the outside tables, where dogs of all sizes were made welcome. We loved the whole experience and Newf Ruby loved her snuggles (see photo).

Our second visit and it only confirmed our first impression. Truly great food that is reasonably priced in a wine country atmosphere. Owner is totally hands on and it shows. Some of the best seafood and Italian we have had and we drove from Napa just to eat here. Nice wine list. Will definitely be back to support this hands on family business.

Ate here twice during our 6 dAy stay. You would most likely walk by looking at the exterior but the onside is nice. We sat on the patio which was great. Good food great prices esp for the area. House red was also good

We stopped for lunch walking around the center of Sonoma and sat outside. What a great time we had with a great server and delicious food! The pulled pork sandwich and corn chowder were fantastic ! Based on the experience we had at lunch, I can only assume that the other people are great too.

We had a two night visit to this town in the wine country and close proximity to Napa was great. Old world charm cozy bar and great restaurant. The room was comfortable with a living area attached. The staff is very nice and the owner Hank Marioni is a great host. If you like a B& B feel with a European feel stay a night. There are not that many guest rooms so book in advance.

Stayed here 3 days and 2 nights. Location is great - right in the square. The king rooms right above the bar, 5 and 6 I think, were quite large with a balcony and great people watching. Reasonably priced to. It can get a little loud at night from the bar downstairs, but we didn't mind.
