Julia Stiles killed it as the abrasive Katarina "Kat" Stratford in 10 Things I Hate About You, revealing that behind her fury beat a big heart that was scared of being broken. Stiles starred in two more Shakespeare-themed films following 10 Things I Hate About You: O (an adaptation of Othello) and Hamlet. She was also a staple in the Jason Bourne film franchise and had a pivotal supporting role in Hustlers. On TV she's appeared in shows like Dexter and The Mindy Project.

Heath Ledger went on to earn the most critical acclaim of his 10 Things I Hate About You alumni, starring in The Patriot, Knight's Tale and Lords of Dogtown. Ledger, who shared daughter Matilda with ex Michelle Williams, earned an Oscar nomination for Brokeback Mountain.

Tragically, Ledger passed away in 2008. He won a posthumous Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his iconic turn as The Joker in The Dark Knight.

Before 10 Things I Hate About You, we knew this blonde beauty as Alex Mack. Immediately after 10 Things I Hate About You, Larisa Oleynik joined her onscreen love interest Joseph Gordon-Levitt when she got a recurring role on 3rd Rock From the Sun. Her acting was largely relegated to guest roles and voiceover work until 2010, when she nabbed recurring roles in Mad Men, Hawaii Five-O and Pretty Little Liars. Her most recent projects include TV series Erin & Aaron as well as the film We Broke Up.

Miller reprised his role as Walter Stratford in the 10 Things I Hate About You TV series in 2009 and has kept busy with comedic projects and guest-starring roles on shows like NCIS and Desperate Housewives. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has come a long way from the gangly, geeky teen Cameron in 10 Things I Hate About You. He's a full-blown movie star with an eclectic resume, with roles in action blockbusters including Inception, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and The Dark Knight Rises. He also starred as the titular Edward Snowden in Snowden and as a lovelorn "nice guy" in cult classic 500 Days of Summer. He was most recently seen in Glass Onion and Poker Face.

Susan May Pratt starred as Mandella, Kat's ditzy, Shakespeare-loving BFF. Susan May Pratt has worked steadily in small roles since 10 Things I Hate About You, including Drive Me Crazy and Center Stage. Now a mom of two, in 2015, she told BuzzFeed News that she was working toward a degree in business. She still acts, but with a caveat: The role has to pay more than the $15 per hour she'll need for her babysitter.

Heartthrob Andrew Keegan played jock and bully Joey Donner in 10 Things I Hate About You, often desperately trying to impress Bianca into hooking up with him—just like he's previously done with her shrewish older sister. Andrew Keegan is still acting. He had a small role in O alongside his 10 Things I Hate About You costar Stiles, a recurring role in 7th Heaven and guest-starring roles in other TV shows including House and CSI.

Kyle Cease (Bogey Lowenstein)

Kyle Cease made his acting debut in 10 Things I Hate About You as Bogey Lowenstein. Kyle Cease has focused more on standup comedy than acting since 10 Things I Hate About You, with two Comedy Central specials. He made appearances in Not Another Teen Movie and reality series Who Wants To Date A Comedian?

But he actually got serious, too. He became a "transformational speaker" hosting his Evolving Out Loud events and a New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author for his book The Illusion of Money.

After making her film debut in 10 Thing I Hate About You, absurdly ageless stunner Gabrielle Union went on to star in another teen classic, Bring It On, as well as TV series including City Of Angels, Night Stalker, Being Mary Jane and L.A.'s Finest, plus movies like Bad Boys, Bad Boys II, Think Like A Man, Think Like A Man Too, Birth Of A Nation and Almost Christmas. She also served as a judge on America's Got Talent. And, oh, she has a beautiful family with Dwyane Wade.

Mitchell played Kat's tell-it-like-it-is English teacher, Mr. Morgan ("I know how difficult it must be for you to overcome all those years of upper middle-class suburban oppression"). Two years after the movie released, in November 2001, the actor was paralyzed from the waist down after a motorcycle accident. He's continued to have a robust acting career, most notably a seven-season run on NCIS: New Orleans and a four-season arc on Fear the Walking Dead.
