Reviews
- Awesome contemporary rock album , if something that’s over two decades could be considered contemporary. I can see why they drafted in Ginger Baker for this one, it’s definitely got a foot in the Cream camp.
Loved this on CD and it sounds just as good on record. Drumming is superb and very powerfully mixed. - Disappointing that Chris Goss didn't know about this release when it surfaced, but this is easily one of my favorites. Love the sleeve and the vinyl color. The pressing sounds phenomenal. It all comes together wonderfully. Very glad to see an official vinyl release of this great record.
- Edited 2 years agoI think this pressing sounds great. Is not too loud or overcompressed. Baker's drums are incredibly clear, toms are present but not too loud. Rest of the instruments are warm and I didn't hear any sibilance on the vocals... little worried when I saw the colored vinyl but it overperformed my expectations.
- Edited 2 years agoFirst off, I love this album and was happy that it was coming out in limited colored vinyl, (which Chris Goss knew nothing about, BTW). It looks great, but my copy is very noisy from beginning to end. I find no information that it has been remastered, and to me the sound is not any improvement over the CD that I've had since 1992. I'm actually noticing some sibilance. Sorry folks, save your $40.
- Pressing is SUPERB. I've loved this album since it came out in 1992. Ginger Baker's drumming is so intense, so primal/tribal; and Cris Goss and Googe add their fuel; and it all goes up in fire. ;) And this pressing is just what I've been waiting for; this time they did right. ;) :)
Just my $0.02/worth - Anyone with a copy in their hands, please post pictures and comment on the quality of the pressing. Thanks! :)
