Founded in 1960, Strake Jesuit College Preparatory prepares young men as leaders and Men for Others in the nearly 500-year-old tradition of the Society of Jesus. We are a community of students, parents, and teachers who come together to pursue rigorous education and personal growth.
Inspired by the teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Strake Jesuit student is open to growth, intellectually competent, physically fit, religious, loving, and committed to doing justice. The Jesuit graduate joins a brotherhood of faith and prepared to lead an adult Christian life in the 21st century.

Strake Jesuit College Preparatory is open to people of all religious and cultural backgrounds, and that is how it truly strives. Each individual is able to learn from other peoples experiences and knowledge. Over the past four years of attending Strake Jesuit, I have been taught what it truly means to be a "Man For Others", and I have been able to apply myself in all areas of life. I believe Strake has a bright past and present, and an even brighter future. However, sometimes the faculty can be a little close-minded. While I hate to say this, it is often times the older teachers. They tend to have an attitude that makes you feel like they are not listening, only going of their own beliefs and knowledge. While I say this, keep in mind you will get this most places you go. Strake Jesuit does its absolute best to maintain an accepting and listening group in the faculty, and I only ran into one of these teachers as my own in the four years.
Strake Jesuit has definitely been a ride. I’ll start off with the fact that you will definitely find your people here which has its ups and downs as this school is very nichy. I’ve made many friends and acquaintances during my time here and have formed deep relationships with certain teachers and staff. However one problem is the fact that they emphasize the “brotherhood culture” and yet while there are some kids who do take this seriously a lot of them don’t really care at all. Also this school does have a reputation for housing very rich kids, who’s parents can call the school and get whatever they want. Another problem is the fact that the culture is very very conservative. And I mean this, in the sense that anyone who outright says that they’re not conservative, will get slack for it, and as a leftist, this is really getting annoying because the young progresses club is basically nonexistent while the young conservatives club has a cult following. Overall 4.2/5.
Strake Jesuit prepares a student for all aspects of college, from our campus to our classes to become self-sufficient as individuals to move on and be successful in our future goals. Our motto: Men for Others, teaches us as young men entering our adult years to be compassionate, strong, resourceful, and Christ-like. Our school is very diverse and welcomes all. Our courses are quite challenging yet fun. Our teachers engage with each of us as students and individuals, and we are all part of the Jesuit family. Our college-like campus and block scheduling prepare us for college. Strake offers many different courses and extracurricular activities.
