All About Stormi Bree, the Model Who Has Recently Been Spotted With Joe Jonas

Model Stormi Bree, née Stormi Henley, has been spending time in Australia with Joe Jonas.

In addition to being a model and former beauty pageant queen, Bree also sings and acts, even auditioning for season 10 of American Idol in 2011. 

She was previously in a relationship with model Lucky Blue Smith, with whom she shares a daughter, Gravity Blue Smith.

The Jonas Brother was seen with Bree for the first time in January 2024 when they hit the slopes with their friends in Aspen, Colorado. The spotting came four months after Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner, who has also since been rumored to have moved on with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. Jonas also has children from his previous relationship, daughters Willa and Delphine.

She is from Tennessee

Bree was born and raised in Crossville, Tennessee, and even won the Miss Tennessee Teen USA pageant in 2008. Her father, Kip Henley, gained fame himself as the winner of The Big Break II on The Golf Channel in 2004.

She grew up doing musical theater

When Bree was a child, she already had a passion for singing and performing. She started playing piano when she was 5 years old and would play by ear, despite taking 10 years worth of theory, she told Galore in 2016.

Her love for piano also lent itself to her appreciation for theater, which she started doing when she was 7 years old. She ultimately starred in 18 productions.

“I also grew up in the theatre, I did my first production when I was seven,” she told the outlet. “My whole life I was an employee of a theater company so I split my time between that — work and school. And I was home-schooled for a little while while my dad traveled but I grew up in theater.”

She is a model and former pageant queen

During her senior year of high school, Bree became Miss Tennessee Teen USA in October 2008. The following year, she represented her home state at the Miss Teen USA pageant which she ended up winning as well.

“It’s surreal. I’m still waiting to wake up … I felt like I’ve come a long way and I’ve tried so hard for this,” she told Seventeen after taking home the title. “I just wanna tell everybody out there to try their hardest, ’cause they can do it.”

Following her win, Bree made multiple appearances at events like Z100’s Jingle Ball concert and the 2010 Boys and Girls Clubs of America's Chairman's Gala.

She auditioned for American Idol

In 2011, Bree auditioned for season 10 of American Idol with “Father Can You Hear Me,” but was cut after appearing in one episode and making it through to Hollywood week. However, Bree persisted in her music career and even ventured into producing her own music.

She joined the band U.G.L.Y in 2012, which was signed to Chris Brown’s recording label, CBE. However, by 2016, she had gone solo and was working on her own EP, as well as producing for singer Emi.

Though she was creating songs for other people, Bree said she wasn’t worried about running out of creative ideas for herself as well.

“I’m a creator so I feel like I’m never gonna truly run out of [ideas],” she told Galore. “There’s so many different ways to put things. I’m not stingy with lyrics or melodies anymore.”

She has worked in Hollywood

In addition to music, Bree’s career has included stints as an actor and a director. Per her IMDb, Bree has appeared in a season 3 episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine as well as short films including 2015’s Midland and 2016’s Shiny. However, she told Galore that she was taking a break from acting to focus on making music at the time.

She added that one of her goals one day is to combine her passions and write a score for a film.

“I come from the theater world, and opera — and obviously some country stuff because I’m from Tennessee — but [writing film scores] what I want to do until I’m like 80,” she said. “I wanna be sitting in a dark room tweaking on a computer and scoring until I’m like 80.”

She has one daughter

Bree welcomed her first child, Gravity Blue Smith, on July 26, 2017, with Smith. The two announced their daughter’s arrival with a sweet black-and-white photo of them cuddling with the newborn.

“Welcome to the world little angel, the most perfect beautiful gift I could have ever dreamed of 🖤little miss Gravity Blue,” Bree wrote in the caption of her post.

Now, Gravity and her mom enjoy doing activities together like fishing and shopping. For her 6th birthday in 2023, Bree wrote a sweet tribute to her on Instagram.

“I can’t believe my tiny little soulmate turns 6 today😭,” she captioned the post. “She’s my other half, everything I’ll ever need, I couldn’t be prouder of the amazing little human she is💕👩‍👧.”

She has been linked to Jonas

The first time Jonas and Bree were spotted together was in the airport in Los Cabos, Mexico, on Jan. 4, 2024, as the two of them along with a group of their friends boarded a private jet to Aspen, Colorado.

In the next few days, the group enjoyed time skiing on the snowy slopes and grabbing dinner at Casa Tua, an Italian restaurant in the city. During that time, fans noticed that Bree posted a photo on her Instagram Story wearing a beanie that Jonas had previously worn.

A month later, in February 2024, they appeared to be in Sydney together where Jonas was performing on tour with the Jonas Brothers. Both posted photos and videos on their Instagram Story of a boat tour along the Sydney Harbor, though neither featured each other in their posts.

A few days after their boat tour, the model was seen spending time with Jonas' brothers Nick and Kevin during a game of lawn bowling at Bondi Bowling Club and even shared a sweet kiss with the musician.
