The music was really good. The food was good. Lamb chops were really tasty but a little too fatty. Crab cakes were good and I’m from MD so that’s a big statement. Fish was fine not much flavor to it. Shrimp were fried too hard. Brussel sprouts were good mashed potatoes were COLD! Collards were good but they have pork in them so be aware. Drinks were just ok. They were very pricy $18 each. Overall we spent about $200 for night out for 2. Not too crazy. I would recommend this place and I would go back again.

Very Spacious in the new location. We were there on a Wednesday night so it was quite empty. It still didn’t take away from the service or quality of food. This my first time in the new location but my third time visiting overall. I’ll definitely be returning again and again.

Service was slow took an hour to receive food despite having a reservation. No plates given to share appetizer. No request for refilling of drinks. All of our food was not served at the same time. Horrible experience will not be back.

This was our first visit to Brothers in there new location. We won't be back. We went to Brothers in there original location and love it. So the next time we came to Norfolk we wanted to return. Much different experience. First off parking is very inconvenient, no valet, mostly likely because there not doing enough business. Visited on a Saturday night at 6pm only four tables were occupied. Server was very good and very pleasant. We got our drink orders right away. Once we ordered there was nothing no bread or crackers just nothing till our meals came 22 minuets later. I had the pan seared Scallops which were very good, however it was $45 for 4 small sea scallops My wife had the salmon which also was very good but somewhat overpriced.

Sorry to hear that your visit was less than stellar. Parking has 0 to do with the amount of business that we have. Actually, it is the same as the old location. No valet. Parking garage & street parking are available. When you arrived there were 4 other tables. As the night progressed so did the guest count. Thank you for your concern. Again, just like the old location, we do not have a bread service. 22 minutes from the time you are seated, ordered cocktails, and your meal is reasonable but I guess it is all relative. At your last visit in 2022 you ordered the salmon as well. It was $30 in 2022 and $37 in 2024. I am sure that you are aware of the rise in the cost of food. The scallop meal consists of 4 (u-10) scallops and 2 sides which we think is great for $45. Respectfully, Tony & Kim

Black owned restaurant with an open dinning room. An old Fashioned cocktail was over priced at $21.00 for using Bulleit as the whiskey. The salmon added to my house salad was a small portion for an additional $15.00. The service was average.

We use to love Brothers but sadly this will be our last time. My husband had to send his food back due to the chicken looking pink and not fully cooked inside. My red snapper was bland. Without the chili sauce it would’ve not been edible. The fried rice tasted like bland frozen peas and carrots with some rice. My husband and I were shocked by our experience because this not what we are used to.

Beautiful restaurant! The food was well seasoned and the staff was wonderful. We ate every single bite - all four of us. Would not change a thing! Prices were comparable for an upscale restaurant. Loved the vibe and looking forward to returning.

I was truly looking forward to eating here with my friends but was overwhelmingly disappointed. Drink were ridiculously overpriced, the band would have been a nice touch of ambience but they were too loud and we couldn’t not hear each other at our table. The waitress came a left quickly not giving you enough time to ask questions and the restaurant was no where near packed. I get the concept they’re going for but unfortunately it was a miss!

We were exceptionally pleased w/our dining experience at Brothers. Regrettably, we had tickets to the play at Wells Theater (across the street), and left just as the evening's live music was about to begin. Brothers is a classy place--ideal for special occasions are "date night."

This was our first time eating at Brothers. When we arrived the staff was still preparing our table. Once we sat down, our waiter came right over and took our order. He was very knowledgeable about the food. My husband ordered the steak, broccolini and Mac and cheese. I ordered the trout with risotto and asparagus. Both dishes was excellent and still great warmed up. The staff made you feel welcome from the hostess to the server. We're definitely going back!!!! Thank you for an excellent experience!

The atmosphere was very relaxing and I really enjoyed the live band. My appetizers were good but my main course was average. I expected more for the price that I paid for my meal. I would go again but just for appetizers, drinks and the band.

Great experience. Great service, great food. Some recommendation to enhance the customer experience, table clothes to keep silverware off bare table, maybe a candle or something on the table-they were all bare. Dessert silverware should come out before the dessert and be placed on table not at the same time in waiters hand. These are not complaints just enhancements due to the amount of $ customers are spending.

Experience wasn’t the best. Went on Valentine’s Day, service was not good. Staff seemed inexperienced and did not know the menu. Wine was not served properly, and being a steak house you would think the steaks would be the star of the show. NOT at all!!!!! I just expected this place to be more upscale, was not intimate at all felt like we were in a cafeteria…. Maybe it was a bad day for Brothers…..

We were seated quickly since we had a reservation. However, the food took forever to arrive. One of the appetizers was out and the waiter didn’t know how long it would be until they could make it. The entrees were definitely mid. My bf complained the salmon had no flavor and his mash potatoes were cold. My seafood mac was great but not for the price we paid. Also, one of the shrimps was undercooked. The waiter did take off $5 for that. Grilled caesar salad and drinks were good . For the amount of money my bf spent on the meal got Valentine’s Day, it wasn’t worth it and we really could’ve went to Red Lobster and spent way less. I feel like because they have a mostly all seafood menu they have hiked up the cost of items but their items aren’t seasoned nor cooked correctly.

Very good atmosphere. The steaks are really good and seasoned and cooked to perfection. I have tried a lot of things on the menu, and I would not waste my time on those items. But if you want a good steak and a good chill environment and a good drink, this is the place to go. it’s a bit pricey for the amount of food you get, but it will be tasty and good.

Those Lamb Chops were awesome! And it was nice to meet the owner, Mr. Tony as he came to every table to check our service. Visited all the way from Maryland. Will definitely be back!!!!

Perfect 44th birthday experience! The live entertainment was wonderful! Our waitress Toya was professional and friendly. She was amazing! My birthday crew and I took pics with the owner who was just as friendly and professional. Can’t wait to come back!!! The salmon and Brussel sprouts were awesome!

Food is overpriced for the portions you get. My drink was good, and the collards had flavor. But for someone who loves fine dining, this was not it, sorry. Food was once good, I don't know what happened the last two times I went.

We had 5 o’clock reservations. It was only us and another couple there on a Friday evening. Our food especially our vegetables were extremely cold. There should have been no reason for cold food when there was hardly no one there.

We dined before two large parties, which would have raised the noise level! The steaks are what Brothers does best! We split a delightful 10-oz filet with risotto, a house salad and a fun chocolate/pecan tart.We might go back for one of their live music nights.

The place was basically empty when we arrived but didn't get our meal until an hour later, and several menus items were not available! Server was great and we told him, but everything else was disappointing, we will not be back for a while. I hope they get their stuff together!!

I unfortunately could not recommend this restaurant, specifically due to the quality of the food. Both my dining companion and I observed the food to be very salty, the portion sizes are quite small especially when you consider the entree prices, and the red velvet cake was dry, crumbling, and unfortunately tastes like a supermarket box cake.

I had the best experience at Brothers! I had the pleasure of experiencing live jazz while celebrating my husband’s birthday. The food was great, the service from Jenny K was top tier, and the music was a whole vibe! I am already planning my next visit!

Disappointed with the "live music". It was 1 singer whom started 45 mins late and sang to tracks. Need dimmer lighting and a fireplace to improve the atmosphere. Was surprised the NBA wasn't on in the bar area with the owner's NBA referee status. The wait service was just ok. We had to remind him about things we requested when he came back to the table without them. Should have a cornbread option to go with the menu.

Thank you for your comments. The vocalist arrived early however due to technical difficulties with the sound system her start had to be delayed. We do try our best to make every guest's experience a pleasurable one however we do sometimes miss the mark. We are sorry for your inconvenience. On music nights most patrons come for the live entertainment, but we will tune in to any game, news program, etc. IF requested to do so. Our menu has to be finite. We endeavor to have a little something for everyone. We change our menu seasonally so maybe next time we will have everything that you are looking for. Lastly, I would love to have fireplaces but those require chimneys in order to be authentic. Respectfully, Tony B., Owner
