I’m struggling to see how this hotel is classed as 5 star. It’s new and the architecture is nice, but the service and facilities are so for away from 5 stars, it’s blindingly obvious.
We had a one night staycation for our anniversary. Check-in staff were pretty apathetic. The hotel offers in-room dining, and when we asked if we could have breakfast in the room, we were casually advised we would need to go down to pick it up! Just want you want to do when you wake on your anniversary expecting a luxury breakfast in bed .
Minibar had three cans of drink and a juice. Remember, this is a 5 star location apparently!
And the worst part was the bed! It was so ridiculously hard, neither of us could sleep longer than an hour at a time.
We rose at 7am, gathered our belongings and got the out of there, not even caring about breakfast.
No one asked if we enjoyed our stay when checking out. It just seems like no one there really cares at all if you have an enjoyable stay, and at over HKD3,000 for our room per night, it wouldn’t eat into their margin if they bothered to ask or care.
One to remember for all the wrong reasons.
