DALLAS, Texas - The second-seeded Marquette University men's basketball team (27-9) took part in Sweet Sixteen media availability on Thursday, March 28 at American Airlines Center.

Tyler Kolek, Kam Jones, and Oso Ighodaro opened media day for the Golden Eagles to discuss their Sweet 16 matchup vs 11th-seeded NC State.

"We definitely know NC State and the type of team they are, the tough team they are, the good team they are," Jones said about NC State matchup. "We're not going to change anything that we do. We're going to go out there and be ourselves."

Third year Marquette head coach Shaka Smart took the podium next for media availability.

"To me it's more gratitude, excitement, joy, appreciation for our guys for all the things that we've been through together," Coach Smart said on leading his team to the Sweet 16. "Most importantly, we're sitting up here today playing tomorrow night with a chance to advance. Obviously, that's where our focus is."

MU also participated in practice at American Airlines Center. The team's practice started with a 15-minute open portion of practice for media and concluded with a 90-minute closed practice permitted by the NCAA.
