From SUNY Purchase College

Purchase is one part distinguished liberal arts and sciences college; one part world-renowned arts school; and another part the alchemy resulting from the mix.

You’ll know immediately there’s something different about this place. Boundaries blur and collaboration rules. Being an artist or scholar or writer or scientist or philosopher is never synonymous with your major (we have 47). An ethos of inclusivity and acceptance allows for the freedom to be authentic.

With the same SUNY core curriculum, you build your academic experience on a footing of broad knowledge and skills. But here, creativity is the real core. We encourage interdisciplinary thinking and unconventional approaches to problem-solving.

Our sprawling green 500-acre suburban campus is only 30 miles north of midtown Manhattan, nestled among nearby cities White Plains and Port Chester.
