- A great sounding compilation.
And it doesn't have the awful glued OBI !
Records were flat, dirty and scuffed but without audible faults.
Well done LITA - They did a good job of improving the clarity as a lot of her recordings sounded muffled. In doing so, they did rob a bit of the midrange but I'd prefer they did than leave it muffled. The only thing I found rather unsettling is the hard panning of the stereo. It's possible that they could only use the original mix and that's how it was done. Overall a great job and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone who only has a muffled, earlier pressing
- Edited one month agoLitA Velvet Morning Sunrise sounds fantastic! The Nancy & Lee LitA pressing is excellent too. The interviews and photos in the booklet are wonderful though I do wish they'd included lyrics.
- So far all of these LITA releases at RTR have been superb with dead flat & quiet pressings, so no issues here. However.....that's not to say that I haven't sent many other records from different suppliers back for replacement or refund due to sub-standard product. An audiophile release supplier explained that there isn't a pressing plant in the world who is supplying 100% perfect product all the time. Makes sense and I guess it's just bad luck getting a 'bad' one.

This is a fantastic compilation and this is one of my favourite records in my collection. It is beautifully presented with an excellent booklet. The pink vinyl is nice and this record sounds awesome. This has all the hits you would expect with some rarer tracks to. This is a must have for any fan of 60s music.- Edited one year agoI love the Phaedras Flowers version I have but unfortunately I have to sell. Anyone interested?
- Edited one year agoI got some serious noise in the first track, (Bang Bang), and two cleanings with a pad and three playthroughs, haven’t gotten rid of it. It doesn’t sound like burrs anyway.
Anyone else had this, or did I just get a bum pressing? The rest of the side sounds good. Haven’t tried the other three yet.
UPDATE:
Returned the first copy to the store and got a replacement. All is well in the World. Not sure what the problem was. You can’t see anything with colored vinyl - neither scratches, damage, nor dirt. But the new copy sounds great. Highly recommended. - Fantastic release. Ultra quiet vinyl, flat as it can be and the sound... just wow.
Gear: MoFi Ultradeck, VM740ML, Heed Elixir, ProAc Studio 100. - The first side of this record is brilliant ,, but sides 2-4 contain too many sub par duets imo . Also Nancy’s amazing version of ‘It’s such a pretty world today’ should have been included surely
- Lovely pressing, lovely sound quality. The vinyl colour/s fits the jacket artwork better than any other LITA release of this album. The jacket itself and the booklet are great
