Before planning your farm layout, there are a few things you should take into consideration, for example:

A Little Bit of Everything Layout

There are a lot of buildings you can place on your farm, from coops and barns to Obelisks and fish ponds. That's why if you're looking for a layout that lets you have everything the game has to offer without looking too crowded, look no further than this layout from Reddit user u/vanillababy1.

Crop Central Layout

• Farm type: Standard

Crops are a huge part of Stardew Valley, so it makes sense Reddit user u/AND_PEGGY1 decided to focus heavily on building their own little Vineyard.

The great thing about this layout are the Junimo Huts in the middle of the map. Having them there allows you to plant as many crops as you want without worrying about manually harvesting them since the Junimos will do it for you (as long as the crops are inside the hut's AoE).

And while your main source of income with this layout will be from farming, you'll also have some space for other farm buildings like coops and barns as well as Fruit Trees, Bee Houses, and Sheds.

Fish Central Layout

• Farm type: Beach Farm

While you can plant crops on the beach farm, it becomes a chore watering them because you won't be able to plant sprinklers in the area, so focusing on a crop layout might not be the best idea for this type of farm.

However, Reddit user u/LiangXueNi has come up with a solution to this dilemma, creating a farm layout the focuses heavily on fish. As you can see, their farm features three rows of Fish Ponds where you can grow your own Fish Roe. That's not all, as this layout also has space for crops areas, multiple sheds, barns and coops, and even some Obelisks on the right side of the map.

Aesthetically Pleasing Layout 

• Farm Type: Moded

Sometimes all you want is a farm that looks straight out of a fantasy book, and that's exactly what Reddit user u/soup_13 achieved with their farm layout.

Thanks to multiple mods, this layout looks incredible magical, there's a lot to unpack here, but some of the highlights include what looks like a sleeping Totoro on the lower right side of the map, deers, medieval buildings, and a unique farm type.

100% Perfection Layout

Stardew Valley is one of those games that's more about the journey than the destination; you can take things as slowly as you want. However, it is deeply satisfying to obtain a 100% completion score in any game, and this one is no exception.

If you want a farm layout that will allow you to achieve perfection, then take a look at what Reddit user u/SEN_pai7474 created. While it is true that you can achieve perfection on any farm type, what's truly remarkable here is that this user managed to do it in the Riverland farm type. This one is arguably one of the most complicated farms to plan out since it consists of many different-sized islands connected by bridges. 

Evenly Distributed Layout

Planning your farm layout gets really tricky when you have a large river that divides the spaces into two main sections. Well, that's exactly what happens when you select the Hill-top farm type. However, Reddit user u/ratabb managed to create a perfectly distributed farm that makes everything look super neat.
