Riker (Jonathan Frakes) and Counselor Troi's (Marina Sirtis) wedding to negotiate a peace treaty with the Romulans. Picard is shocked when Shinzon (Tom Hardy), the new Praetor of the Romulans, admits to being a clone of him. I honestly don't hate it despite the fact that it is too grim. I think if they found a way to handle the tone better and fleshed out the themes of duality more the movie might have worked.

Not sure why this movie is so disliked. I saw it when it came out and enjoyed it. I think it may be the top of the tng movies. I've since rewatched it and my opinion hasn't changed. It's darker than the other tng movies but the franchise needed a change.
