Food Lion evacuates following concern of natural gas smell: Officials say no danger

ABC13 was on the scene following a concern about a gas leak.

The fire department got a call about a natural gas smell on Aragon Street and the Food Lion on Memorial Avenue.

Officials said they checked it out and they did smell some natural gas, but that it was not enough for their instruments to even detect.

Food Lion evacuated the store as a precaution.

Officials said there was no danger to the public and they are turning it over to Columbia Gas.
