About
Eugen Fuhrmann started the Lobster Pot Restaurant in Bermuda. After making that restaurant successful he then came to the United States in 1978 to open the Lobster Pot Restaurant in Reddington Shores, Florida with Erwin Scheuringer as the Chef. In 1985 together both Eugen and Erwin opened Eugen's Restaurant in Belleair Bluffs. Which led to fine dining and older clientele. In 1995 the restaurant was remodeled and opened with its new southwestern look as E & E Stakeout Grill. In 1992, again both Eugen and Erwin along with Scott Bebell (who at that time was working as the Sous Chef at Eugen's Restaurant) opened Guppy's On The Beach. In April of 1999 Eugen sold his interest in the Lobster Pot Restaurant

Excellent service, food and ambiance as we've come to expect and now shared with a new to E&E friend. Kayleigh was very helpful with my friend's Keto diet request, she enjoyed her Steak, Eggs & Asparagus. Ordered one of my favorites, Shrimp Al Greco, always...delicious. This restaurant always delivers in all areas, highly recommend.More

Nothing we’ve ordered here has ever disappointed. The prime rib on the weekends is certainly hard to beat. The service is great, it’s the tell of a well run restaurant when the staff and management are all so friendly, upbeat and helpful. With so many...restaurants in the area this is one to make a point of visiting and there’s a reason it’s one of the best rated.More

The Pork chops are the best I've ever had. The Broccoli was cooked perfectly and served over a salsa . Great Cesar salad too. Good service. The Beef tips were very good as were the Fajitas.

I ordered a take out delivery on May 2nd to celebrate my grandson's birthday. Let me just say, the highlight wasn't the food from E&E, but the cake from Publix. This was during the time of stay at home orders for COVID-19. I didn't leave...an immediate review because I was supporting local businesses and didn't want to hurt this particular business with a bad review. Now that restaurants are open again, I want to share my experience with this particular establishment. We ordered from their takeout menu: the Kokapelli salad, the boneless short rib dinner, and the mac and cheese Ditalini with lobster. Every one of these items were a disappointment. The Kokapelli salad was comprised of wilted greens and minimal toppings. It was room temperature, and therefore not safe to eat. The short rib dinner was scanty on the portion and not only looked unappealing, but tasted like it had been cooked in a crock pot ~ no flavor at all. The Ditalini Mac and Cheese with lobster had scallops substituted. While the scallops were tasty, there were only four and the pasta serving was, again, very stingy. Definitely not worth the $27 I paid. This was the worst take out dinner my family has experienced during the shutdown. And the most expensive. Being an essential worker myself, I understand how hard it is to keep up with normal service requirements, but where I work we don't let our customers down by giving them less than what they pay for. I'm disappointed that E&E would go that route. As an aside, I had to order food from Cody's Roadhouse to make up for the crappy food from E&E. In summation, I would like a public response from E&E to explain how this terrible service was allowed to happen.More

We visited E&E in April after a COVID absence. On that occasion everything was near perfect. However, tonight was a different experience. Our waiter, Gian, was very casual (and slow) the entire evening. We were seated at 6:40 and five minutes later he came by...and asked for drink orders and if we wanted bread. He reappeared five minutes later with our drinks and brought two plain white rolls (E&E has always brought three rolls each a different variety). We had placed our menus down and he said I guess you're ready to order. He took our order and 25 minutes later he came by and apologized that it was taking so long (to cook a ribeye medium and spoon up some short-ribs). He asked if we would like some more bread while we waited and we both replied yes. He then brought us ONE more plain white roll. By the time our meal arrived (35 minutes after ordering) we had lost our appetite and were ready to get out of there. The food was very good, although it had the temperature of having sat on the prep table waiting to be picked up too long. I cannot say I will not return to E&E, but not to have the same waiter. I might note that patrons seated around us with the same waiter got the same type service (two white rolls and long waits), but those with another waitress received prompt and what appeared to be excellent service (including the usual three varietal rolls). E&E needs to retrain this waiter or let him go.More

This place used to be a ‘good to’ place for many of my friends and co workers. Always good BUT my husband and I went for his birthday and we were disappointed. We ordered our appetizers and mine didn’t come. I asked the waiter and...he told me he thought I cancelled it when I asked about the dinner salad that used to come with the entree (no longer). Then when our steaks came, mine was good but my husband’s rodeo steak was raw inside. Not a great experience.More

I hadn’t been to E&E in a few years, but was meeting family over there for a birthday dinner after a long day of work and was looking forward to it. Apps were ordered - escargot and ahi tuna - and both were very nice....The main courses took a bit to come out but eventually they did. The picture will show what my “medium-rare” steak looked like. The server didn’t return to our table for a while, which would normally be fine if the meals were correct. When she did return and I showed her the steak, she assured me the order had been inputted correctly but she would take it back. At this point, most of my family had nearly finished their meals, as naturally I had told them to enjoy their meal while it was warm. The steak took another twenty minutes or so to come out, and when the manager ought it to the table, he apologized for the “shamefully and embarrassingly overcooked” steak. The second steak was fine, and cooked as I had expected it to be originally, but was eaten in front of a family who were made to wait longer than they should have after finishing their properly cooked meals. If it weren’t a steakhouse, I wouldn’t have been as disappointed. But, for a place known for steak to get one so wrong, it made the experience all the more frustrating. I might be back eventually, but it’ll be a while.More

Stopped in at lunchtime to get something quick and went to the bar. Asked the bartender, who was extremely pleasant, if they had a sandwich I could get to go rather quickly. She mentioned a few, but I settled on a burger, medium well, with...ketchup only. Also came with a very small portion of cole slaw. Sadly, when the burger arrived 20 minutes later, it was burnt to a crisp, the bun was cold and the cole slaw, as it turned out, was very salty. Why put salt on cole slaw, I'll never know, however. that was the least of the problem. Not having asked the bartender the cost of the burger, I was shocked when the hostess told me it $17.00 & change. I thought maybe I heard her wrong and asked again. She said $17.00 again, I told her I thought it was a little pricey. She explained the burger was a 1/2 pound. I opened the to go container and the burger was much, much smaller than a 1/2 pound and as I stated above, burnt to a crisp. So, with tax & tip, my bill exceeded $20.00. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and informed the hostess of such. I also told her I could have gone to Burger King and had 3 or 4 burgers for $20.00 and they would have no doubt tasted much better. I'm sure many will say they have enjoyed their meal at E & E and I should not have ordered a burger, but rather, a full meal. Hoping to grab something quickly and go back to work, I did not have the time. In closing, I will only say again, I was very disappointed and will be very reluctant to return, as their prices are very exorbitant for what you get. There is an old saying which says: "You don't get a 2nd chance to make a good 1st impression". GKP ClearwaterMore

Was impressed from the ease, efficiency and friendliness of making the reservation to the surprise complimentary desert at the end of our visit for our 82 year old birthday girl. Timing of arrival of courses was great, food was delicious and plentiful, drinks were kept...filled. Lauren was a delight! She handled our group of 9 flawlessly. She is a gem! Caesar salad, salmon, calamari, escargot and Shrimp Al Greco were raved about amongst our group. Garlic mashed potatoes were just okay and the mashed sweet potatoes were a bit too sweet, but tastes vary. All in all a great experience.More

What a disappointment after the good things we had heard about this restaurant. We had a party of 7. The table was set for 7, but after the first 6 arrived and were seated, one setting was removed. When my nephew arrived, it took a...while to get another setting. Two of us ordered beer. We got canned beer, and it took a long time to arrive (the second round took even longer). Our waiter, Joe, messed up my order (9 Oz. Filet, medium). He handed it to me saying "filet, medium well." I told him I had ordered my filet medium and he told me, "Oh, it's medium." No, it was not (my wife ordered and got hers medium; the difference was easy to see). Don't lie to me. Also, he gave us six steak knives for seven people ... I used the regular table knife and was fortunate the filet was tender. No apologies from Joe, who finally got me a steak knife with two bites left. My filet was dry but tasty; however, it was not worth the price. Others were happier with their meals, hence the two-star review instead of one star. My wife and I ordered the chef's dessert special, a pound cake with cooked peaches and whipped cream. The cake was stale and the peaches overcooked. Yuck. Happily, my in-laws were paying the $500+ bill. They are usually big tippers, but Joe got 15% ... and that was too generous. My daughter, who spent years as a server in New York and Los Angeles, enjoyed her steak but was amazed at the poor quality of service by a veteran waiter. Steak places like this keep chains like Outback in business. Between the poor service and disappointing food, we would never go back. Save your money.More

Popular place, booked all day they said, & pretty big too! Had fanciest dishes ever, Chef Erwin dreams them up, wow. Had turkey w/fancy stuffing, cranberry, sweet potatoes, all so unique w/pears, chutney, orange etc. I had lobster Cobb tower, greens, egg, bacon, avocado, cheese,...all stacked w/potato truffles next to it. Not the norm, lol. Dessert was pumpkin spice creme brule cheesecake w/eggnog creme, & bourbon pecan pie w/caramel drizzle & choco mousse. Neither was the normal dessert either. I asked our sweet waitress Angela if Chef dreams all these details up all by himself, & the answer is... YES. Congrats, do try them! :DMore

My husband loved the "Veggie Delight" entree. He said it's one of the best vegetarian entrees he's had. I found it a little too heavy on the oil for me. The plate contained two fried items: black bean cakes and fried eggplant, and some of...the vegetables seemed sauteed in oil. The black bean cakes are spicy and delicious. This is a great entree if you're OK with oil and fried foods. Comes with one sunny side up egg, portabello mushroom and mashed sweet potato, all yummy. I enjoyed the trout entree with mashed sweet potatoes and a vegetable. The fish was very fresh and a very large portion. I also enjoyed the field green side salad which includes jicama and mango. The servers in this restaurant are excellent. Not the best choice if you're looking for a quiet relaxing restaurant, but a good choice for excellent food.More

DELECTABLE & DIVINE Exceptional & Exquisite E&E Steakhouse is definitely a dining experience not to miss! The steaks and presentation makes it that much more desirable. The staff is attentive and catering. Don't be fooled this is not just a Steakhouse despite its name they...have excellent seafood choices as well as duck, lamb and venison. They have a very extensive early-bird menu (but a small window for these specials so be sure to reserve a table) Reservations recommended regardless. The manager stopped by to see how the meals were. Everything was excellent. This place is TOP NOTCH and overall very reasonable. We enjoyed the Shrimp cocktail and the Lobster- scargo appetizer, the early-bird Rodeo steak and filet mignon (both cooked perfectly) the daily vegetable selection was "fresh and tasty" the salad and soup were very good we upgraded to the french onion it was the best Perfect (not too salty like others) we had a several drinks each and were surprised with a nice Birthday desert too! This place is worth the drive and we will be back.More
