St. X is the Jesuit college preparatory school in Cincinnati, part of the network of Jesuit high schools across the country. Our mission is to assist young men in their formation as leaders and Men for Others through rigorous college preparation in the Jesuit tradition. The goal we set for our graduates at graduation is to be open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, loving, and committed to doing justice.

My experience at St. Xavier has been amazing. It was a challenge going to St. Xavier because I was the only kid from my grade school to attend this institution. At first I was shy and lost because i was having a hard time transitioning from a small school to a big one. Another reason I was shy was because I really didn't see a lot of hispanics there. The diversity at first was pretty low when I first came in but that has no changed. Although I was struggling, the staff and the St. Xavier community welcomed me in. I felt at home. The more I got comfortable, the more I learned about the school and the community as a whole. Now, they have helped me become the man I am today. All the lessons, both life and academic, will always be part of my life.
My experience at St. X is overall great and the time and effort I have spent at this school has been the most transforming time in my life by far. I have become a man who I know who I am and what I want to do. When I step outside the doors for the last time it will be bitter sweet but I know I will be proud of the journey I have had in this place!
Post-pandemic, my son left our public school district to attend St. Xavier. St. X offered a wider variety of science and math programs, and my son has matured into a confident and competitive honors student during his first 3 years there.
Part of his transformation came through a long-delayed diagnosis of ADHD. When we (as parents) determined that his issues were not behavioral, the school staff worked with my son's pediatrician to evaluate his educational attitude, aptitude, and performance. Several teachers reached out to us on their own time to offer their opinions and observations, which was extraordinarily helpful during a stressful time.
Beyond accelerated science & math, my son has enjoyed his language arts teachers. The staff is very engaging and does a fantastic job of motivating my son to work toward his potential in ALL subjects. Furthermore, his experience in band [percussion] has given him leadership skills and deep friendships. My son truly loves St. Xavier.
