St. Michael’s Preparatory School is a private abbey school run by the Norbertine Order. The school, founded in 1961, has a population of 60 priests, many of whom teach at the school. All students are required to attend religious education and morning mass and night prayer.
This is an all-boy school for students grades 9 to 12 and requires uniforms for all of its students. It fields teams in football, cross country, soccer, and baseball, competing in the Express League and CIF.
St. Michael’s is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Western Catholic Educational Association.
Conduct is directly factored into the GPA calculations of students and all juniors get to participate in a class trip to Rome.
This highly selective high school has 60 students on a 35 acre campus. Tuition is on average $25,000 and every year approximately $500,000 is offered in financial aid and tuition assistance. 100% of its students go on to places of higher education. The school’s mascot is the Pioneers.
