In my opinion St. Johns River State College is great for people who are wanting to further their education after Highschool or just finally have the opportunity to go to college. The amount of diversity at this school is great and you will meet some really great people of all ages here. No college is perfect however this school is great for people who can not financially afford to go to big universities but still receive the degree they want. I have met some really great professors during my pre requisites and some not as great but overall the experiences here isn't too bad for us people who want an education that wont put you in major debt! :)
As a senior in high school doing full time dual enrollment, it has been very challenging. I’ve found that teachers sometimes don’t care about their student/ their progress. Their syllabus’s aren’t necessarily fair, even with proof. For example, I was sick for a few days and my teacher didn’t let me retake the test. I believe this is not right and it hindered my education immensely. If majority of teachers took the time to care about their student/help them, I would have gotten more out of my education.
St Johns River State College is a small community college. There are many days where the college has activities where they feed us, bring food trucks, ice cream, and arts and crafts activities. The professors are wonderful, very helpful, have great teaching methods, and they take the time to help you if you need any clarification on a topic.
