From Capital University

As central Ohio’s oldest university, Capital has a strong history of academic excellence and a commitment to the individual success of every student. Since our founding by the Lutheran Church in 1830, and charter as a university in 1850, our values have guided our teaching and learning.

Located in the state capital of Columbus, Capital offers undergraduate, graduate, and law degrees on our campuses in Columbus and Bexley, Ohio. Our proximity to Columbus and the strength of our relationships with business, government, healthcare, and community partners prepare our students to graduate confident and with a vision of their potential.

Undergraduate enrollment is 2000 students, and Capital offers an 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio, 64 majors, and 100+ student-led organizations. We consider a smaller campus our greatest strength. For us, smaller doesn’t mean we compromise on experience. Smaller means more experiences, connections, and touchpoints. At Capital, experience is the difference.
