The 2023–24 season is SC Freiburg's 120th season in existence and eighth consecutive season in the Bundesliga. They also competed in the DFB-Pokal and the UEFA Europa League.

On 17 March 2024, Christian Streich announced that this will be his last season at the helm, ending an era that lasted 12 years.[1]
