Sparta High School Reviews
Rating 3.62 out of 5 261 reviews
Relative to other schools in surrounding areas, the quality of education and resources available to students is good. The classes are small, and there are opportunities to develop close relationships with teachers, especially when participating in extracurricular activities. However, the environment at the high school is not necessarily inclusive of minoritized groups and even teachers, at times, can add to this tendency of "othering" for students who identify with those groups.
I liked how Sparta is very focused on keeping a high academic reputation. I also like that there are fast-acting administrators. If I ever had a problem at the school, there were many resources available to me. Sparta has also done an excellent job helping me through my college process. They believe strongly in helping the students achieve any goals they have after high school. One criticism about Sparta High School would be the school spirit and culture. I think the school is dry at times but that is also not always a negative.
Sparta high school offers a variety of classes at different academic levels with a large focus on sports activities. The school is not overall ethnically diverse. Overall, the high school provides an average or above average education. Staff and administration is usually helpful, although there are a select few teachers that may not fall under that category.
