Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Reviews
Rating 3.65 out of 5 1,724 reviews
As a student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, you can expect a diverse and inclusive environment with a strong sense of community. The campus offers a range of academic programs, extracurricular activities, and support services to help we students succeed. The surrounding area provides opportunities for outdoor recreation and cultural experiences. Overall, students often find it to be a welcoming and fulfilling educational experience.
I had a few good professors that made my experience academically great. However, when they scheduled events on campus, I did have a couple of later classes so I couldn't go and experience the campus life exactly. Out of the events that I could attend I had a great time. I think having events for students, planned by students is very much a great idea. I think that there is a lot of diversity that makes the university great, but a lot of times there is so much hate that comes with that which makes it hard to speak out sometimes. Being able to respect differences of opinion should be easier in the classroom.
When talking about academics, I am happy with my school. The professors I get care about the topic at hand, and that helps and inspires me to excel in said class. I wish the campus life was better, however. The weekdays are great, there's always something to do. But when the weekend comes, there is nothing to do. The party scene seems fine, I just can't go to any of them.
