What travelers are saying
- rswandlsOxfordshire8 contributionsCheap entry so didn’t expect too much. This is an Aladdin’s cave of aircraft from early AVRO onwards. Schneider trophy history. Loads of excellent information, run by very enthusiastic volunteers. Allow a couple of hours, maybe more.Written April 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- places2seeplaces2goEngland, UK5,988 contributionsHave just spent a week on The IOW & experienced 2 crossings with a car & dog.
Both were good, the outward one from Southampton to Cows we were able to get on the earlier ferry.
Staff quickly move you along & direct you where to go.
As we had a dog with us we were in the dog friendly area which was well maintained with nice friendly staff, the staff even walked around with biscuits for the dogs.
Great swift & smooth crossing & service.Written April 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. From very informative accounts to interactive exhibits it was an experience walking from one section to another. The exhibitions span over two floors with elevator access.
Located at the end near the gift shop and toilets were old-school penny arcades which was a fun little distraction.Written April 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Debora4 contributionsThe Tudor House was a great immersive inside. I wanted to write a review to state that they had the best story boards I have seen because many of them are lenticular images. And they had lenticular postcards in the shop. Such a great idea.Written April 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert W10 contributionsWe spent a very enjoyable hour zipping down the slopes in various methods, train, pairs, racing, individual, spinning on our donut rings. We were assisted brilliantly by Jess who ensured we had a great time and all left with a big smile on our faces. A very big thank you to Jess! The kids wanted to book on for another hour straight away!Written April 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tammyBaltimore_MdBaltimore, MD3,821 contributionsA good 30 minute walk give or take from city center but well worth a visit, or local buses stop right across the street.
Great grounds for dog walking or just walking around this nicely manicured grounds.
Make sure to check out the old cemetery, definitely OLD is an understatement.Written December 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Playa3 contributionsNot too bad, sat in good seats, staff were friendly as hell, had some annoying maggot in front of me however who thought he knew everything about football when in reality he know nothing, overall great time. Also, it was near enough £5 for a sodding pie!Written March 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Christine F1 contributionGreat day out lots to do and see. Plenty of seating at the right places to take a breather and watch the kids at play . The cottage and school interiors are delightful , authentically furnished with items true to the past. Thankfully a complete absence of plastic signage just lots to appreciate . Staff are kind courteous and clearly as much in love with this place as I am. Please let it remain untouched by 'improvement' .Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
