How to Play With Friends
South Park: Snow Day! is an online co-op roguelike adventure game, and—just like the show—it’s best enjoyed with friends. Unfortunately, it doesn't support couch co-op, just online play.
If you have to play solo because your friends think you're a noob, bots will join to fill out your team, but l33t gamers have teammates that make the whole experience more fun. This guide will show you how to invite your friends or join their games to participate in the South Park kids’ ridiculous nonsense together.
How to Host a Game
To host a game session for you and all your dumbass friends, open your game menu and navigate to the “Matchmaking” tab. Then, select Host Game.
On the next screen, select whether you want to host a Public or Friends Only game. Then, select Begin Hosting.
On the final screen, you’ll see who’s in your game already. Select the Friends List button to bring up your friends list, where you can send invites. Just don’t try to invite Kyle’s Mom...
How to Join a Game
To join a public session, open your game menu, head to the “Matchmaking” tab, and select Join Game. Then, select which Game Mode, Chapter, and Difficulty you want to find a game for. You can also select whether you want to avoid spoilers, which, if enabled, will cause you to only find games that take place in chapters you’ve completed.
After you’ve configured what type of game you’re looking for, select Join Public Game to begin matchmaking. If you don’t find a game, it’s probably because no one likes you. Try again until someone desperate enough lets you into their game.
If you have a friend who’s hosting a game, good for you! What do you want, a prize or something? Wait for an invite from them and accept it. You can’t join straight from the Matchmaking tab.
