A Facebook page titled 'R.I.P Sophie Monk' falsely claimed the TV host and actress had died suddenly.
'At about 11am ET on Tuesday (September 22, 2020) our beloved singer Sophie Monk passed away,' the post began.
'Sophie Monk was born on November 12, 1979 in London,' it continued.
The Facebook page and accompanying fake news article have since been deleted.
