Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked around the building but it looked so uninteresting that we didn't go inside. It looks unfinished with lots of building work outside. It's not the shopping mall we thought it would be. Try the Berlin Mall not far away if you want shops.

This is a very nice center, featuring a cinema, several eateries, numerous shops (including Sony, of course) and a modern architecture.

We went there because of the architecture.
It maybe not a most go but if you are in the area of the Potsdamer Platz you shouldn't give it a miss.
Plenty of shops and food in the centre itself.

Vibrant centre of entertainment, that includes restaurants, shops, a cinema, and is close to events related to the Berlinale film festival. Well worth a visit.

The Sony Center is a Sony-sponsored complex of eight buildings next to Potsdamer Platz.

It was designed by the German-American architect Helmut Jahn and was completed in 2000.

The area has apartments, hotels, the Museum of Film and Television, a Legoland Discovery Center, restaurants, shops, and a conference center.

We learned that Potsdamer Platz, which was in ruins after the second world war, became a huge no-man's land between the Western and Soviet sectors with the construction of the Berlin Wall. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, Potsdamer Platz became a building area and the architects Hilmer und Sattler won the competition for the development of Potsdamer Platz.

We were amazed by the very modern building blocks soaring into the sky, which are emblematic of the reunification of Berlin. Among these architectural blocks, we enjoyeded:
- the Sony Center is breathtaking! It is magnificent with its huge dome of glass and steel. The dome is lit by lights in the evening that change colors. A marvel of modern architecture!!!
- the Daimler Chrysler, with gardens where we walked
- the Beisheim Center

On Potsdamer Platz, we also saw remains of the Berlin Wall which are kept for remembrance.

Berlin is not short of impressive architecture and this modern structure is certainly one to visit after dark. Unless stopping for food, drink or a film then you probably won’t spend too much time here.

One of Berlin's most prominent squares, the Potsdamer Pl. (pls read more about it in a separate review), is dominated by this ultra modern edifice - the Sony Center.
It's a multi pruprose space - apart from modern offices and living spaces there are many cafes, shops, restaurants, a conference hall and movie theater. For kids there's one of Europe's Legoland parks.
I'd suggest visitng at night when it's all light up and changing colors, looks much more impressive than during the day.

It is a beautiful structure, especially at night. However, there is not more to see, just stores, restaurant and movies.
