Me A Terrifying, intense, and deeply sad...this is a portrayal of humanity at both its worst and its best. Better than any movie made regarding the Rwandan genocide in my opinion. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review Audience Member Great movie but SAD!!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/07/21 Full Review Audience Member the most heartbreaking film i've ever seen, it's so overwelming ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow for a made for tv film it delivers! A very disturbing yet powerful film that humanizes and explains not only how rwanda genocide happened but how genocide can happen anywhere. A good overview of what happened in Rwanda and how quickly the violence eScalated. Actors were great esp lead. Takes a look at all the contributing actors who fuel the flames yet refuse to take responsibility when the house burns down (colonization, countries who sell arms, military men looking for power, propoganda and hate media). A lot of hypocrites and people turning a blind eye and apathy leaving victims helpless. Bill clinton and his admin, as well as the united nations couldve done a lot more to help. The sad part is i think this will happen again as history repeats itself, esp when lessons arent learned and no real justice occurs-only happened about 20 years ago! A haunting tale of humanity's cruelness. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member A great movie despite the unimaginable, despicable, cowardly events it brought to my attention.. Loved and appreciated this movie like I did Hotel Rwanda. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review magda m The film is excellent, no commentary is needed, just rent it, see it. It basically does the rest. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

James Poniewozik TIME Magazine April was unsparing, without being gratuitous, in showing how horrific yet casual the violence was, and Idris Elba (The Wire) was stunning as a Rwandan officer who came to see the light too late to save his mixed-ethnicity family. Sep 11, 2018 Full Review Steven D. Greydanus Decent Films Opts for a broader canvas [than Hotel Rwanda] both in time and space, exchanging a strong dramatic center for increased depth of detail and insight. Rated: B+ Feb 11, 2006 Full Review Ed Morales The Nation Peck has shown us the horrors of late-stage decolonization and postcolonialism. Jun 28, 2021 Full Review Andrea Chase Killer Movie Reviews a powerful and effective piece of filmmaking. Full of sadness and a fair amount of anger [yet] not vitriolic.
