All the same, Tinubu did not Build Lagos. Lagos was Nigeria's Capital before Abuja, the Colonial Master had some influence in Ikoyi. Awolowo was part of Lagos Development as Premier of Western Region, Jakande contributed a lot i his time. Maruwa did a lot more than Tinubu. Fashiola opened up most of the New Areas of Lagos. Ambode made greater impact than Sawo Olu. Tunibu telling Nigerians that Lagos was a no go area prior to his coming is a lie from the Pit of Hell. Period

How can Bayelsa state that contributes over 30% of oil to Nigeria account not have a single oil company office? And the state government just sit down like Mumu,No be juju be that? My friend that grew in port harcourt traveled to the United state, cos he is a citizen of America, got a job in America to Come fix a problem in shell bongs oil filed . He was so happy that he was coming to port harcourt 15yrs after leaving with all his family members including his mom. Only for him to land In ph got a hotel called us to come clubbing like old times. The next day shell asked that he was to go to Lagos, he asked why? And was told that’s where the office is. Getting to Lagos he was taken with a helicopter to bonga oils filed in the niger delta, he was very furious and called to ask us what da fuck is this about? We asked him if he ask us who we go ask? He said you can find Exxon head office in New York or any oil company HQ outside a region they don’t operate. Only in Nigeria we see such injustice. I love Lagos and visit there often, but remember that Lagos was Nigerian capital for decades - just like Abuja is now - and with a seaport to complement it. Lagos was developed by Nigeria with resources from all Nigerians. The development attracted more Nigerians/foreigners and investments that translated to more IGR for the state. So, Lagos is not just a state...it is a national state. Nigeria and Nigerians made Lagos. Truth be told....

Let's be frank and sincere, I don't think what Joe have said applies to Igbos alone. Igbos should not take it personal. Over 90% of non Lagos indigens myself inclusive that came to Lagos with a briefcase after my school certificate, have been successful. In fact, I was brought to Lagos by a military man, a general after being joblessness in the village. When I was reading Joe, I thought he was referring to me. Being an Igbo, he's free to make his views known like anyone of us. But directing any derogatory words or insults to the Igbos as a race or individual, that I will not tolerate or swallow. Though detribalised, my parents are from different tribes, the Igbo race is esteem to me. I've stayed, schooled, worked and been with my father, an olden days school Headmaster being transferred over the Nigerian three regions. I found out early in life that no Nigerian tribe is perfect.
