KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Lo LaBonta penalty kick in the 71st minute made the difference in the Kansas City Current’s win over the San Diego Wave on Saturday night.

San Diego’s Sofia Jakobsson started the scoring by shooting a home a corner kick in the box after Current goalkeeper AD Franch saved the first shot from Hanna Lundkvist in the 17th minute.
