Although the plot was predictable, it was enjoyable. I loved the characters and how they intertwined. When the father, Fernando, was understanding about not being told he had a daughter, I was pleased. Sometimes life happens and we have to take a step back to see why. His forgiving heart was wonderful. When he stepped back from making millions off the new project and agreed to develop the project into something that was helpful to the community and to Margaret and Amelie's pet projects, I was smitten. Great job. Worth the read.

I believe this was my first read by Josie Riviera.

There were certainly lots of poplular romance tropes packed into this novella: billioniare, celebrity, second chance romance, secret baby, and small town.

Lots of elements to form a charming story, but not all the character's reactions hit quite right with me.

You may read it differently and it's on the shorter side so it won't take you long.

Perhaps that was my difficulty, that there wasn't quite enough time to flesh everything out.

I've been trying to get into it but I just can't really gain that attachment to the characters as I do in other books. I'm sure I will try to read more by Josie Rivera. I'm not ruling her out as an author to watch.

Fernando and Margaret split when they were just out of high school. Ten years and lives later they meet up again the small town. They have their ups and downs but love the ending cute Christmas story.
