If you’re a Lou Reed fan, this is a necessary collection. A nice small profile CD size box for your shelf and excellent quality CDs in the box. I think this is well worth the price.

A very welcome set, the product of Reed's final and triumphant maturity. However, the lack of documentation is a serious defect. Reed's remarkable career merited the inclusion of essays or liner notes detailing the achievement contained in the music. A performance as savage and gorgeous as "Like a Possum " should receive the widest hearing. Once the long-promised RCA/Arista set appears, this will join the various Velvet Underground re-issues to form a fitting memorial to one of rock's few great careers.
