This was first released all the way back in 1988 and has been re-issued a couple of times over the years. As pointed out above, these aren't the single edits probably because it was easier to do that way than going back transferring the singles when the albums were right there. This was/is a pretty good collection and there weren't too many Todd collections on the market at the time. Rhino's Anthology was still a few months away. The Rhino collection also includes a couple of songs from A Capella which was Todd's first post Bearsville album but this one is longer which each disc clocking in at 72+ minutes.
There are four Todd 2 disc compilations currently on the market that are worth checking out: Singles (1988), Anthology (1968 - 1985/1989), Go Ahead, Ignore Me: The Best of Todd Rundgren (2000) and The Definitive Rock Collection (2006) all of which have their pros and cons. Singles and Go Ahead, Ignore Me have the longest running time but the Definitive Rock Collection has a nice selection of Utopia songs mixed in as well as covering some of Todd's post Bearsville albums. Go Ahead, Ignore Me is a great collection song wise except for the fact that it bypasses some of Todd's more rocking songs in favor of ballads. Rhino's Anthology (1968 - '85) is pretty good but it's been out of print for years and some people have been known to sell of individual discs rather than including both according to what I've read online so be careful.
