In preparing this unique album, Raven set out to create a compilatiom of tracks by contemporary country music artists like Willie Nelson, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Guy Clark, Rosanne Cash and Steve Goodman, with a thread linking it all together. Emmylou appears throughout these 20 songs variously as a duet singer and as backing vocalist, both alone and in tandem with others. In some cases she is highly evident and in others she provides a discernable but not prominent harmony embellishment. Emmylou Harris' good taste, of course, permeates all.

She has her own career and many beautiful cds, but she has also done some wonderful background work and gorgeous duets as well! Many of those are highlighted here! work with artists like George Jones, Kathy Mattea, Trisha Yearwood, the late Dan Fogelberg, Pure Prairie League,,just to name a few! Their is already a Vol 2 out,,,how long do we have to wait for Vol 3 Emmy? Don't make us beg!! LOL
Anyway, the CD was in great shape, came quickly and played beautifully! Kudos to the seller and to Emmylou! =)
