I Have a voda setup on the ph what are the best options get a sim in HK or take voda offers =a $5.00 a day fee and keep the same deal on calls ect Pete
Phone calls in Hong Kong are amazingly cheap. I would go to a 7/11 & buy a local SIMM card assuming your phone is unlocked.
Yep sounds good I hear that Voda unlock them for free seeing that im on a contract I will have a few more questions later on have to go and make a quid now will be back on after lunch Thanks Pete.
Hi Pete, how did you go with Vodafone? I'm in a similar situation and
G'day chriki21, check with Vodafone if free unlocking can be done.
Previous there was a thread, and it was informed that Vodafone had a change in policy, where free unlocking will be done even though on contract,as you still have to pay even though another network SIM is used.
thanks mKiaratravel. i'm on a contract and managed to unlock my phone following the instructions on voda website. free and no need to speak to anyone. yay!
G'day chriki21,
great to hear. Indeed a yay big!
Hope our mate,Pete will also sort it out.
With your phone unlocked, local sim cards are cheap. There's one for tourists - http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/plan-your-trip/practicalities/communications/tourist-sim-card.jsp
Great stuff === that's made me a bit more relaxed == +++ just picked up my new DSLR Cannon camera+ Twin pack lens kit all set ph and snaps all taken care of great stuff guys Pete
G'day Pete,
a yay big also to you. Great news.
no wonder in other thread you enquire about SD card. For DSLR- advise go for Class 10.
A gentle reminder- a plug adapter is required. HK's (similar to UK) is of the three pronged rectangular blades for charging your devices.
Yep all good Have 10-32gb card a spare 165gb and a plug all up $ 69.95 AUD == pete
