What travelers are saying
- Audrey VOrlando, FL11 contributionsAzealas are in bloom! It was overcast, but took a lovely walk in the gardens, which as always, was fantastic. This was the first time we saw the full bloom. Fantastic colors.Written March 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brandi PFort Worth, TX1 contributionThis place is cool!!! Interesting to see all the old stuff and the old building. Also very confident that you could “call” on the tour to hear about each different exhibitWritten February 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SMS27 contributionsI have to say this museum is certainly one of a kind. Its goal is to immerse the visitor in all things Louisiana, from culture, history, wars, industry, civil war, artists, native Americans, politics. I never knew all the agribusiness in this state. The museum is beautiful and has its own unique history. My husband is from Louisiana and added so much to the visit, but if you are new to Louisiana, go even if you are not from there. The building is well laid out and is hands on, quiet and thought provoking. The exhibits and the pieces are amazing, and there is a separate area where they have other artists showing their work. The museum is completely devoted to Louisiana. We met the Curator and she was a delight to speak with! We were there at least 3 hours and enjoyed every minute. Highly recommend.Written September 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RollTideRollAZPeoria, AZ597 contributionsSmall aquarium near downtown Shreveport. Numerous fish to see. Feeding of aligator babies and sharks. Touchtanks for smaller fish and you can feed stingrays.Written March 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark062017Bossier City, LA187 contributionsIf you’re into aeronautical history, then you should visit this place. - Keystone_TravelerMalvern, PA2,809 contributionsI liked this place the minute I walked in. Great vibe, good decor, excellent service, and a good variety of well brewed beer. For those visiting from “out of town,” take note that the surrounding area is a bit gritty. But it’s a good destination brewery.Written September 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RollTideRollAZPeoria, AZ597 contributionsVisited the Rose Center while in Shreveport. Roses were not in bloom, but grounds were very serene and the grounds were well kept. Rose chapel was beautiful.Written March 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- blonnkaWinter Garden, FL184 contributionsIt’s big, beautiful, and well laid out. The workers, especially Angela, were extremely helpful.
But, there was no internet WiFi available.
It’s attached to the Hilton and centrally located to a few good lunch places within walking distance. Casinos are close by, about a 15 minute walk.Written July 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Some of the goats could be rather pushy when the girls were trying to feed other animals! Overall this was reasonably priced. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating after those darn goats knocked down the feed bucket! We all had a very good time despite the June Louisiana mugginess. A few more mister fans could help. We were glad the bounce houses were in the shaded seating area!Written July 4, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - M JAustin, TX7,990 contributionsMy husband and I went to Walter B Jacobs Memorial Nature Park on a Tuesday morning. We did not see another person in the park. Before hiking a couple short trails, we viewed the live bird animal exhibits and deer pen. The birds included a bald eagle, a falcon, 2 different types of owls and a Mississippi Kite. There was one deer and she was on a special diet. The visitor’s center was closed, due to Covid-19. The trails were nice and had many foot bridges. Restrooms were available. The 160 acre park was about five miles of trails. Admission to the park is free. The park is open Wednesday – Saturday 8 am to 5 pm and Sunday 1pm to 5pm. I highly recommend this park if you like to hike.Written October 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Debi HMansfield, TX333 contributionsReal nice little museum, don’t miss the upstairs. If you like these kind of thing (I do), you could spend an hour or teo. If you’re just looking it will be shorter. Very interesting.Written July 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
