Audience Member Average western featuring a past their prime cast and crew. Produced and directed by George Seaton, Rock Hudson and Dean Martin are former fiends now on the opposite side of the law and both love the same woman, Susan Clark, who's now married to Hudson. Pretty familiar stuff that's told well enough, but is nothing special. A solid score is provided by David Shire. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I like just about anything with Dean Martin in it. The story of two brothers. One grows up a lawman and the other an outlaw. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Rock & Dean work well together in this amiable western with nice work from Susan Clark and a good supporting cast. Loses it way a little towards the end but still an enjoyable film with the two leads providing the necessary star power. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Quentin Tarantino The New Beverly My review might be a touch generous. Yet Seaton, Hudson, Martin and the whole film possess a sweetness that inspires generosity. Jun 22, 2020 Full Review Tony Mastroianni Cleveland Press Showdown is a tired western. Everyone in it is tired. The only suspense in the film is watching a tired Dean Martin and a tired Rock Hudson getting on their horses. Sometimes you think they won't make it.
