ONLINE Swiss Pairs - 18th May 2024� ��(BLUE POINTED)� REALBRIDGE

This event will be held online on RealBridge on Saturday 18th May 2024.

Please be online by 12.45 for a prompt start at 1.00pm.

There will be six 6-board matches. Session 1: 1.00pm - 3.15pm, 18 boards, Session 2: 3.45pm - 5.45pm, 18 boards.� �

Entry Fee: �9 per player-:��All players welcome, from Kent or wider afield, whatever your ability. You play pairs with roughly the same score after round 1 (which is a random draw). If there are a good number of non-expert pairs then there will be a prize for the highest placed non-expert pair.�

PRIZES: to top 10% of pairs playing, using 20% of entry fees

(players who have indicated that they are non-expert must ensure their NGS on their MyEBU is set to be Public viewable �[or having no ranking because e.g. they play at a non-affiliated club]. The TD will check using NGS viewer:�NGS (ebu.co.uk)

Monday 27th May�2024, Improvers Pairs on BBO, as part of the EBU Spring Bank Holiday Congress

Open to players who are NGS 9 & below on Saturday 25th May

  • This�event�is�aimed at club players who are interested in taking the first steps into congress bridge but who may have found it daunting to jump straight into a major congress event.�
  • The format will be two 18 board sessions with a break between the sessions. Players can play in either or both sessions.

Each session is 18 boards, 9x2 board boards. Click: Pre-entry required� �10% of entry fees will be given as prizes in BBO$. Likely to be top 3 playing in both sessions ($30,$20,$10 per pair) and top2 NS & EW in each session ($12,$10 per pair)

The 9-High events will continue every�week.�The NS/EW winners / Howell winners get a free Saturday game. So please enter for a BBO event. After each event a commentary on the hands is sent out to all players.

The organisers check the NGS grades via an automated check on the EBU database on Friday afternoon and would be grateful if pairs would enter by 12noon on Friday. Any entries after this time need to be manually checked and incur extra work. Many thanks

EBED used to run 6 or 7-High events and have asked Kent if these would like to run this on Saturday afternoons each week. This will be 12 hands, 2.45pm start, 9 mins per board, $3 per player, on BBO.� � �

Ideal for players in their who completed their first year of learning bridge, or more experienced players with a NGS (National Grade Scheme) rating below about 6 or 7
