Biography: "Gorgeous Sharlene Martin is a Vancouver, B.C.-bred actress who made her debut as 'Melissa Martin' in the direct-to-video slasher flick Possession (1987). Changing her name to Sharlene, she guest-starred on an episode of the Canadian tv drama Bordertown (1989) before playing evil Tamara in Jason Takes Manhattan (1989). Most of Sharlene's television roles were on Vancouver-based series, such as Broken Badges (1990), The Hat Squad (1992), Street Justice (1992) and Two (1997). She had very small roles in major movies like Mystery Date (1991) and Pure Luck (1991). Her most prominent role was in the excellent thriller Breaking Point (1994), which starred Gary Busey, Kim Cattrall, and gay-male-porn star turned soap opera star, Jeff Griggs. Sharlene played Kim's co-worker at a store, and she almost fell prey to Jeff's charms. Info: "[From Director Rob Hedden]: I have the fondest memories of Sharlene Martin, who played Tamara. There was a shower scene written for her character right before Jason shows up. Well, Sharlene was a sweetheart but very, very nervous about getting naked. Same as Jensen. I said, 'Sharlene, I'm not going to shoot this in a way that is a tight close-up with bright lights on your breasts, okay? I want this to be scary and I want it to be sexy and I want it to be titillating, but I don't want it to be sleazy. So I'm going to show you how it's going to look.' She climbs out of the shower and goes and stands by the camera, and suddenly I take off all my clothes and I get in, and I do the scene. I start singing in the shower, moving my arms around and steam is coming up, and of course the whole crew is laughing. Then I come out of the shower and put my clothes back on and go, 'See?'
