A deadly plane crash, murder, and a dangerous quest across the alligator-infested Florida Everglades!
On the afternoon of May 11, 1996, ValuJet 592 plunged into the Florida Everglades. There were no survivors. But something came through the crash unscathed: a small box with huge implications for humankind. And the one man unlucky enough to discover its whereabouts disappeared without a trace.
Now, 20 years later, the mystery of Flight 592 hits close to home for Del Honeycutt and bestselling mystery author Sabrina Spencer. A shocking revelation launches them into the middle of a dark conspiracy, and locating the box becomes a matter of life or death. They are not alone in the hunt for the mysterious package and very quickly learn that others will stop at nothing to find it, eliminating anyone who stands in their way.
With killers hot on their trail, Del and Sabrina must navigate dangers lurking both above and below the swamp waters of the Everglades in order to find the box ... and to survive.

This reader loves Andrew Cunningham’s two main characters, Del Honeycutt and Sabrina Spencer, who display immeasurable loyalty to friends and each other, as well as providing some nice romantic moments and multiple examples of the author’s dry wit. But I have to say I’ve always been nearly as fascinated with two of Cunningham’s secondary characters. Seymour—a grumpy, grizzled man who lives in an apartment in Del’s East Boston house—has always provided a comedic relief. In this book, he comes alive when his past is exposed in a shocking rush of events. Molly Peters, who also lives in the apartment building, is a gay second-grade teacher whose martial arts skills are as surprising as her salty language. Mo is another great favorite, and fortunately for us she joins the above three cast members for a wild adventure centered in the Florida Everglades. The descriptions of this watery world are absolutely vivid and will make readers feel as if they are sitting in the airboat with the moist wind rushing through their hair, nervously watching the grassy ‘glades for slithering lumps with yellow eyes.
From the first pages where thugs try to break into Seymour’s apartment to kill him, to the search for a mysterious box missing from an airplane crash twenty years ago, to the wild and heart-pounding chase scenes through the Everglades on a speeding air boat, there is barely a moment to breathe between spinetingling scenes.
As Seymour’s story unfolds, it is soon revealed that the missing box contains samples taken twenty years ago from a “fountain of youth” whose scientific properties were documented and whose location has been closely guarded over the years. The bodies begin to pile up as our foursome narrowly escapes one life-threatening scene after another. Their goal? Discover if this mythical fountain is indeed genuine and hand it over to a legit scientific group, while meanwhile saving their own lives.
Threatened by multiple villains, including a rogue FBI group, Del, Sabrina, Seymour, and Mo fight to survive in this alligator-ridden, swampy rollercoaster ride. Come join them in an unparalleled adventure sure to please!
They own a house on the upper East side of New York City. Sabrina paid for it with funds from a novel. Now she and her two fellow renters live there, plus Del, of course, rent free. Her first floor neighbor is Mo, a second grade school teacher, and Seymore, a very private man who buys things that won't sell online, spiffs them up, writes new copy and sells them at a good profit, lives in the second floor. Somehow their lives intertwine in this novel, making it one you definitely won't want to miss!

It appears that this box could hold a secret that could change human lives for the better. If so its potential, not just for human longevity, but for huge financial gains, could be immense.
Having met these characters, and enjoyed every second of Andrew Cunningham's enthralling narrative, I now have to read the other books in this series.
A great story with lots of unexpected twists and turns. Definitely worth a read, with a cup of coffee by your side. :)
Well worth the time
