The trailer for the upcoming Pam & Tommy TV series has dropped, giving viewers their first real look at Sebastian Stan and Lily James as rock star Tommy Lee and actress Pamela Anderson. The actors have shared stills from the set of the show on social media a couple of times already, prompting a lot of talk about just how closely they resemble the Baywatch star and Mötley Crüe drummer, but the overall effect is even more uncanny now that actual footage from Pam & Tommy can be viewed.

Backed by an era-appropriate Lenny Kravitz soundtrack, the trailer highlights what lookalikes the two performers have become. It goes beyond simply wearing identical hair and clothes: Stan learned to play the drums in order to realistically play Lee, and most notably, Lily James' recreation of Pamela Anderson's distinctive voice is spot on.

Pam & Tommy marks something of a departure for both of its lead actors. Stan is, of course, best known for playing Bucky Barnes, a.k.a. the Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while James' most famous screen roles have leaned towards the wholesome, from Downton Abbey to Cinderella to the Mamma Mia sequel.

The trailer also heavily features Seth Rogen, who has undergone an equally drastic transformation in order to play Rand Gauthier, the man who robbed Lee and Anderson's home, leading to the leak of the world's first ever celebrity sex tape. It is this event and its aftermath—a watershed moment in pop culture in the '90s—which will function as the main storyline of the show.

Pam & Tommy will begin streaming on Hulu on February 2, 2022.
