Hallmark's ninth album in their series of "Joyous Christmas" featured Anne Murray in 1993.
Murray had already recorded 6 of these 11 songs on her previous Christmas albums ~
"Christmas Wishes" and "Christmas - Anne Murray".
Still I found it nice to add this C.D. to my Murray Collection for the following reasons.
1. Even though Murray's voice sounds nearly the same on those 6 songs, the musical accompaniment
with the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Ambrosian Singers ~ exquisitely lend a touch of class.
2. Two tracks where introduced here for the first time ~
"The Season Will Never Grow Old" (also the title of the album)
"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"
3. Three songs here, sung by the Ambrosian Singers (don't feature Anne), are the beautiful.
classic sound of Symphony Christmas music like my folks used to listen to.
Track Listing ~ and "previously on".
1. Joy to the World --- Christmas Wishes
2. Away in a Manger --- Christmas Wishes
3. Sweet Little Jesus Boy --- Anne Murray - Christmas
4. It Came Upon a Midnight Clear --- Anne Murray - Christmas
5. Ding Dong Merrily on High --- Ambrosian Singers (only)
6. Silent Night --- Christmas Wishes (Silent Night on 'Christmas Wishes' is the only place I've found to get
the original recording that includes Anne saying "Merry Christmas" in the last 7 seconds of the song.
This Symphony version is excellent, but it doesn't include "Merry Christmas",
nor is it included on "The Wonderful World Of Christmas".
7. This Season Will Never Grow Old --- Here for the first time
8. Jingle Bells --- Ambrosian Singers (only)
9. Winter Wonderland --- Christmas Wishes
10. Deck the Halls --- Ambrosian Singers (only)
11. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas --- Here for the first time.
That sums up the 11 tracks on this 44 minute long collection.
Footnote: All 8 songs by Anne are on the 2001, 28 track ~ double C.D. "Anne Murray - What A Wonderful Christmas".
(they've been re-mastered ~ making the sound especially good ~ crisper ~ fuller and richer)
But not all are the exact version as on this Hallmark C.D. ~ for example, Hallmark's "Joy to the World"
has a bit different and longer intro then on other of collections.

Perfect Holiday album!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on June 13, 2015
This really is a nice collection of christmas songs that Anne recorded or re-recorded for 'Hallmark' with the Ambrosian singers and the London symphony orchestra in 1993. Many of the tracks have been released over the years on other Christmas compilations by Anne so all is not lost if you can't get hold on this album as it's out of print now. But if you can find someone still selling it, snap it up as it's a lovely album. Infact Anne really did make some of the best holiday albums around (I'm not usually a fan of them!). She sings on 8 of the tracks: Joy to the world/ Away in a manger / Sweet little jesus boy / It came upon a midnight clear / Silent night / This season will never grow old / Winter wonderland & Have yourself a merry little christmas. The other 3 tracks are performed by the Ambrosian singers: Ding dong merrily on high / Jingle bells & Deck the halls. Highly recommended!
