Ernest W. Seaholm High School Reviews
Rating 3.98 out of 5 246 reviews
I have loved Seaholm high school. There can be too much of a discrepancy between AP and regular classes, with APs challenging but regular classes overly easy and basic. Great sports programs, especially aquatics, but some of our most successful teams are under supported by the school in favor of the more popular but less successful programs.
My time at Seaholm was undoubtedly enjoyable. The school’s updated facilities and academics were beneficial to my learning. I was fortunate to have some truly exceptional teachers, including Mr. Caughell, Mrs. McDonald, Dr. Wilhelm, and Mrs. Petrozzi. However, I did struggle with the cliche-like environment at times. Additionally, the lack of diversity among the student body was another challenge I faced. While I acknowledge that the majority of students were white, I believe that diversity is crucial for gaining different perspectives and insights into various issues.
From my experience during my time at Seaholm High school, I have come to an understanding that when a community comes together, they can achieve greatness. From charity fundraisers to afterschool activities, and even to field day events, the evidence is clear that people are stronger together. These conditions can even be met during tough learning times in the classroom. Students can come together, work together, and overcome learning challenges to exceed past what they did not think they were capable of.
