The communicator visited when senior students were presenting their hands-on project work.

During her address, the communications and public relations specialist shared essential principles of the profession with the eager learners.

She talked about the significance of distinctive branding within the public relations sector and the necessity for communicators to distinguish themselves.

Koks opened her lecture by highlighting the critical role of personal integrity in sustaining success.

"The sustenance and longevity of your success is equally dependent on richness in the soil of your character, I hope you are aware that you hold within you the power to shape narratives, influence perceptions, and drive change. In a world of overwhelming information, your role as a PR professional becomes paramount," she stated.

When discussing how communications and media students can break through barriers, she advised:

"No matter how excellent, talented and valuable your skillsets are, if you do not define your character, see people as equal, see people as better than things, and not leave people better than how you found them, I can assure you, the deficiency will break and overflow like the banks of river Nyando."

Koks also shared a funny yet insightful analogy with the students, asking, “Why did a scarecrow receive an award?”

She answered:

"It was outstanding in its field! When you commit to growth, a resurrecting power demands your hope, potential, and faith to rise, and even a better version of you is waiting to emerge. As you enter the world of public relations, I urge you to be bold, innovative, and fearless."
