Nice zoo but they need to work out a bit of a difference between off season and summer. We went and it was empty, a lot of attractions were either closed or not about and it was a bit of a quiet walk through the park.

That said its still a really nice zoo.

The bluff needs a whole day to unfold its resplendence little by little with each passing hour From sunny and bright to pink skies and warmly lit to dark and star lit skies .. one can see the whole planetery changes in one full day . It clear and sweet tasting water adds to the majestic show of art of mother nature .. people come and laze around or they come in groups to party on the lawns , bar- B - que and have a feast or even swim in the water … overall being close to nature and with your loved ones does wonders to your body and mind

This is a terrific place to go for a nice long walk along the lakeshore; there are a few different trails you can take; but each one is great.

Good Mall at Scarborough with major brand outlets and a good food court. There's even a Walmart in the Mall

We did the mass trailhead trail. The parking lot was half full at 10:30am. We went at 1pm before and there was not one spot. So go in the morning. The parking lot closes at 9pm. Parking is free. The trail is a dirt path and it’s well marked. There was mosquitoes so wear bug spray. We went May 20. There was a few hills and some log steps -40 something. It’s not a suitable trail for bikes or strollers. I would definitely go back.

We visited this park on a Saturday morning. There is plenty of parking and it’s free. The Guild inn is on the property and they have weddings going on. The grounds are well maintained with lots of flowers, sculptures and relics saved from demolitions. Lots of history. And there’s trails leading off along the bluffs. It’s great to visit when the flowers are in bloom.

The pal we were visiting in Toronto suggested that - after touring a pleasant local park and being entertained by the birdsong - we might like to visit the local water treatment works.
'We've only got three days,' we said. 'Sorry, but it just doesn't appeal. Isn't there somewhere else... an art gallery, perhaps?'
He persisted. He practically begged. Not wanting to offend him, we relented, and he drove us to the RC Harris water treatment plant.
Well, thank goodness he was so insistent.
It's beautiful. Magnificent old brick-built temples to industrial innovation, stylish and elegant architecture, birdlife everywhere (with endless nesting options beneath the needlessly ornate fripperies on the buildings' facades), mighty views, fresh air and living history.

The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. If you love history this museum let you go back in time and see what family life was like.

There is also next to the museum a great park for the kids and family to spend the day.

The splash pad is a fun way to cool down on a hot summer day! There are picnic benches and shaded areas for parents to relax.

This is the park to go if you want to have picnics and barbecues with family and friends. There’s lots of picnic tables and barbecues. There’s a children’s playground with swings, slides and an interesting climbing structure. Also a splash pad and there’s changing / bathrooms. There’s a cement ping pong table. You can also rent bikes which is at the entrance of the park beside one of the parking lots. This park opens at 8:00am. There’s walking path where you can also ride your bike. We went in April and the park was clean, no garbage around. I enjoy the ravine you see as you walk along the path.

Port Union Waterfront Park is a great place for individuals, groups and families. There are many kilometres of well-kept trails and plenty of room for social and physical distancing. If you have young children this is a safe area for them to explore without being too dangerous. As always keep an eye on the kids when you're near the water, but at the same time let them run free. You can bike, hike, walk, skateboard, scooter and pack a picnic and find a cool place to chill. This is an all-ages park with many areas where you find can privacy or spend time with a larger group. On this day, a hot warm summer day, the closer you were to the water you could experience a nice cool, constant breeze coming off the lake, and it was very refreshing. This is a park you could spend the whole day enjoying.

When you enter the park drive to the very last parking lot to enter the trail that follows the creek to Lake Ontario. The trail is mostly flat and paved. There are a couple of dirt and gravel sections but these areas are still easy to navigate. There are several places along the trail with benches or rocks to rest and admire nature. Facilities are located at the parking lot.

A Little Known Toronto - Scarborough Park

We love East Point Park for family adventures. Nestled along the Lake Ontario shores between Morningside Road and Port Union Road lies this little oasis. East Point Park has everything you need for a nice day with your family or a great way to spend the day with friends or your partners. It just happens to be one of Toronto's largest parkland areas along the City's east waterfront. Did you know It is also a migratory staging area for monarch butterflies and over 178 species of birds. There are many trails to explore and the park also has two level softball centre pavilion, washrooms, showers, change-rooms, umpire room, indoor lounge and outdoor patio. This is also one of the Parks that run along the Scarborough Bluffs. Like many of the parks along the water, there is always a nice cool breeze coming off the lake even on the hottest, muggiest days. Just off the trials, you can make way down to the beach, part sandy and part rocky shore. It's great for wading and calling off but be careful of the waves and the currents, there are warning signs everywhere, so swim at your own risk. You can also bring chairs and food so you can spend the day chilling out. East Point Park is a great way to spend the day.

This one is more than a neighborhood park. It has facilities for all tastes; whether you like to have an afternoon stroll, play football with friends, children like to play at splash pads, swings, slides or you like to barbeque or arrange a big party in normal times under a shelter or just to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature, it has all and more. It has two "A" rated ball diamonds, three picnic shelters (you need to book), four picnic sites, and numerous trees to sit under in groups. It has two parking areas. The one in the rear at 2, Rozell Road is bigger and near the football fields.
