While not " Badfinger's" greatest album/ C.D. it is sure to please fans of the band. The song " Hold on" should have charted high but I am sure it lacked promotion from this small label. I thought there was & is a mix up in the track listing but when I realized this Album end's with " Crocodillo" I read the liner notes & the song " No More" is not there at all...zero song's with the lyric's found in the liner note!!!! The song " No More" is credited to Joey Molland but what is written in the liner notes has nothing to do with the song on this C.D. & in fact it reads just like a damned suicide note !!! CREEPY !!! I wonder if Tom Evans some how pulled this off giving hard core " Badfinger's" fans a written poem alluding to what he would do in the not to distant future!!! I guess you will just have to purchase this C.D. & decide for yourself. I have listened to this C.D. 3 times in a row & I haven't heard any of what's written in the liner notes in any song!!! While this isn't " Badfinger" at their best there is a lot of good tunes on this farewell album/ C.D. ! As I said above the song " Hold On" should have been a top twenty hit & many of the other songs on this Album/ C.D. come close to greatness. Keep in mind this was made in 1981.

If you are reading this, you probably already know all about Badfinger, but just in case....
Since Badfinger (w/Ham) was one of the greatest rock/pop bands ever, and produced two phenomenal albums (No Dice and Straight Up) & at least four good-to-excellent ones, it is tough to compare the post-Ham stuff fairly.
But I think it's reasonable to say that had Molland & Evans merged this album with Airwaves + bonus cuts (with more straightforward production than the trend-jumping production/arrangements of some Airwaves cuts) and & 'culled the herd' to leave the best cuts from each record, they'd have put out one really good album. Even as they exist, Airwaves & Say No More demonstrate that Badfinger wasn't just Pete Ham (whose solo work was pretty weak also, as I recall).
Overall, not bad, considering.... (Maybe I should even have given it four stars)

I saw quite of few people talking about a song not listed and words that didn't go to any song. I have the original album and had to get the CD for those comments alone. What happened is on the original album Crocadillo comes before No More. The CD has them switched, so if you listen to No More and read the last song in the booklet they match up.
Anyway, I love this one, it's just incredibly sad this was the last official release by Badfinger. Joey Molland's Badfinger isn't the true Badfinger.

Easily the best of the two Badfinger lps recorded after Pete Ham's suicide. Joey Molland and Tom Evans rock out with a sound much closer to the classic Apple lps than their previous "Airwaves" lp .
Too bad it was released on a small label, with the proper promotion this lp could have been a huge hit.As is,its the last lp of original Badfinger music and the band went out in style. Too bad Tom Evans hung himself not long after its release , a followup would have been phenomenal.
Nice to have this on CD,I pretty much wore out the original vinyl.

I am surprised by the quality and performance of the songs, given thus their last release of a disintegrating band. I buy CDs by the tens and rarely dies one so quickly receive repeated plays. That's what I remember of Badfinger and they pull it off again. Its no Straight Up, but its close in appeal to Airwaves or Ass in terms of song quality.

maybe 1 good song altogether

I love this album. I originally bought it about a year after it came out and hadn't heard it in years, as my turntable is under wraps. So, when I saw it available on disc I snatched it up. I still can't believe that when I popped it in my car's cd player this morning, I still remembered most of the words. My only complaint is that whoever put it on disc had transposed the last two songs "No More" & "Crocadillo" which are out of order.

I HAVE THE 1981 LP THIS IS HALF OF BADFINGER A MUST FOR ANY FAN. SO I READ SOME REVIEWS ON AMAZON ABOUT A 2000 RELEASE ON CD ? SO I THOUGHT FOR SURE THE LAST TWO SONGS WOULD BE IN PROPER ORDER ? 15 YEARS LATER ? BUT NO STILL THE SAME NO MORE IS BEFORE CROCADILLO ? BUT THE CD NOTES LIST THEM IN PROPER ORDER? AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF THE LYRICS FOR THE TITLE LP SONG ON THE CD ARE NOT THE ONES JOEY MOLLAND IS SINGING? WOW GONZOS PERSON WHO PRODUCED THIS RELEASE ALSO DID NOT INCLUDE ANY OF THE LP LINER NOTES 0 .THE CD SOUND IS NOT MUCH BETTER THEN MY OLD LP. I WONDER IF THE JAPANESE RELEASE IS DONE CORRECTLY? THIS CD WAS A HUGE LET DOWN . THIS IS STILL A CLASSIC PART OF BADFINGERS HISTORY AND INCREDIBLE CATALOG..........SAY NO MORE...........................

A Few Problems
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 25, 2015
Was glad this has finally been re-released. Lovely album and not worth the indifference it received upon it's original release in '81. The disc sounds ok- no obvious flaws, but nothing special. Have no idea if it was remastered or not. Two troubling facts and an observation about this particular edition by Gonzo Multimedia. The last two tracks- Tommy Evans "Crocadillo" and Joey's "No More" are switched in position in the CD. "No More" plays at 9. and "Crocadillo" is 10 - although they are listed on the CD as they should be on the original issue. The most glaring error is in their using Pete Ham's lyrics from a demo he did called "No More" as the words to Joey Molland's "No More"- two entirely different tunes. There are lyrics to all the songs on the insert.
Seems no one who knew very much about Badfinger signed off on this long anticipated re-release before it went to press. Sad.
