The Season 47 cast of SNL always brought the funny.

Saturday Night Live is NBC's weekend must-watch event. Created by Lorne Michaels in 1975, the show's 47th season just wrapped. Forty-seven seasons! That's a testament to how much audiences value SNL's sharp, hilarious takes on the latest news and pop culture events.

How to Watch

Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

The cast rotates, too, but not as frequently. The Season 47 finale of SNL was a bit bittersweet because we said goodbye to a few familiar faces among the cast. Seasoned wisecracker Kate McKinnon will be leaving after a decade of laughs. Stand-up comic and overall trickster Pete Davidson will also be leaving the show. Aidy Bryant and Kyle Mooney are bidding adieu, as well.

That being said, all four players were integral to the success of Season 47 of SNL. Here's a look back at the whole cast:

Who is in the Season 47 SNL cast from 2022 and 2021?

Michael Che

Michael Che is co-anchor of SNL’s "Weekend Update" and one of the show's head writers.

Colin Jost

Michael Che is joined on "Weekend Update" by Colin Jost, another head writer.

Aidy Bryant

Aidy Bryant also wrote, produced, and starred in the Hulu series Shrill.

Pete Davidson

Even though his SNL days are done, you can catch him in the new Peacock series, Bupkis, based on his life.

Mikey Day

Mikey Day began as a writer for SNL during the 39th season. If you're a fan of the wildly popular "Haunted Elevator" sketch, otherwise known as the birth of Tom Hanks' David S. Pumpkins, you can thank Day.

Chloe Fineman

Fineman is known for her spot-on celebrity impersonations, including Drew Barrymore, Nicole Kidman, and Timothée Chalamet.

Heidi Gardner

Heidi Gardner is especially known for her original characters Carla, the Famous '80s Cocaine Wife, and Angel, Every Boxer’s Girlfriend.

Kate McKinnon

In 2016 and 2017, McKinnon took home the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on SNL.

Alex Moffat

Alex Moffat has been making SNL crowds cackle for five seasons, highly praised for his performances as Eric Trump and Mark Zuckerberg. Beginning as a stand-up comedian and writer, he's created the original characters Film Critic Terry Fink and Guy Who Just Bought a Boat.

Kyle Mooney

You might know him most for his "Miley Sex Tape" short with Miley Cyrus and the "420" sketch with Seth Rogen. We'll miss ya, Mooney!

Ego Nwodim

If Nwodim is in any scene, you can bet she'll not only shine on her own but also elevate the comedy of the entire sketch.

Chris Redd

The stand-up comic and rapper took home an Emmy in 2018 for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the song “Come Back, Barack."

Cecily Strong

The 47th season of SNL officially marked nine seasons of Cecily Strong hilariousness.

Kenan Thompson

Thompson can proudly take home the title of the longest-running current cast member of SNL with 18 seasons under his belt. Without Thompson, we wouldn't have the iconic game show sketches "Black Jeopardy" and "Family Feud," where he performs a spot-on impression of Steve Harvey.

Melissa Villaseñor

If you love impressions of Dolly Parton, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga, or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, odds are you love Melissa Villaseñor

Bowen Yang

Even though Bowen Yang has only been on SNL for two seasons, his ability to make audiences cackle is undeniable. Joining the show as a staff writer in Season 44, Yang also shines as a part of the main cast, always elevating whatever sketch he's in.

Andrew Dismukes

Like Yang, Andrew Dismukes is a Featured Player among the SNL cast, joining the show originally as a staff writer in 2017 and later becoming a part of the cast in 2020.

Punkie Johnson

Punkie Johnson is a comedian and writer who has thrived among the SNL cast for two seasons.

Aristotle Athari

Aristotle Athari is a fresh addition to the SNL cast, with Season 47 being his debut. He got his start as a sketch group comedian and has directed numerous stand-up specials. You might recognize him from Funny or Die’s "The Coop" or HBO's Silicon Valley.

James Austin Johnson

If you liked Tuca & Bertie, Future Man, or Adam Ruins Everything, you can thank Johnson for adding a healthy dose of laughter to those projects.

Sarah Sherman

Sherman is known for her love of body horror, successful stand-up, and opening for Eric Andre's stand-up tour under the stage name "Sarah Squirm."
