A bit concerning that a portion of his salary for a few months could cover what I can only imagine was a pretty big loss – I wonder how much he was making.
That wasn't the point of the pay cut. He failed and he punished himself. The kicker of it was that whatever research and development they used on the failed Wii, they used on the Switch which probably has payed off the difference of the first failure.
