I doubt anyone would see this movie except for the gorgeous brunette,Lana Wood(who was the busty,"Plenty O Toole" in Diamonds are Forever(1971) and is the VERY ample sister of Natalie Wood)

The plot(?) is about Wood as a bored, lonely wife who gets continually sexually assaulted by an invisible demon who likes to expose her large breasts often.

Sounds like a night's entertainment for the bad film enthusiast and Big Boob fans the world over!

By the way,the transfer sucks and there is no menu.

What did you expect though?

There's 2 movies in this cult collection. And the reason you would want to buy this is for the beautiful Lana Wood, Natalie Woods sister, who gets possessed by the Devil and undressed by the Devil many times. If you saw "Diamonds are Forever", as a James Bond beauty, you would have an idea and a tease of her great breasts. And this movie won't disappoint you! She simply has the best in Hollywood.

This movie is okay. I think it's pretty scary, mainly due to haunting music and sound. Picture quality isn't the best. The movie title is confusing, Demon Rage or Demon Seed, intent is not advertise DVD as two movies, but this movie having alternate titles. Although I liked this movie, I thought it cost too much. It seemed like a movie that would sell in bargain bin in used music/movie store.

The first half of the movie is all about this demon having sex with this lady. Great nudity and even a few full shots. Multiple "bed" scenes with this demon. Great amount of skin for the price!!!

This is not a film review but, rather, a review of the available versions of this film, as of the end of 2018. For a plot centered review, please read any of the fine reviews posted here and on IMDB. On to the comparison....

This little horror film, "Demon Rage" aka "Demon Seed", not to be confused with the Julie Christie film, "Demon Seed", is listed everywhere as having a running time of 98 minutes. Now, it is possible that, somehow, somewhere, there is an uncut version, sitting in a filmmakers' basement, collecting dust. I've never heard of one nor have I been able to confirm that one exists, however, I have confirmed that the official release version was 91 minutes long.

This film was originally released to the home video market on VHS, with a running time 91 minutes, from beginning to the end of credits. The transfer, the original VHS, was then used as the source for all DVD and digital presentations, up to today. The Synergy DVD and the Digital 1 Stop DVD, the two Region 1 releases, are both listed here with a 98 minute time, because the companies themselves have listed the film as running 98 minutes on their DVD packaging inserts. Both DVDs have been viewed by me and both are the familiar 91 minute version. Additionally, the digital or streaming versions, by Synergy under the name "Demon Rage" and by Mutant Sorority Pictures under the name "Demon Seed", are both 91 minutes long.

The source, again, is that old VHS. As such, the picture is nearly the same from all sources, with one caveat. The DVDs look ever so slightly better, as to color, and it is a very slight improvement.

The reason I am writing this review is that I noticed prices on the DVDs when shopping for other items and, as an owner, I realized this information was not readily available to consumers. The digital version for sale here at Amazon, I believe currently, is ASIN: B00XCADJAI by Mutant Sorority and that version can be purchased for just a few dollars. The DVD versions tend to sell for anywhere from twenty to eighty dollars, even though they are all VHS transfers of the same film, all running 91 minutes. Incidentally, in case the digital streaming rights revert, and the current version becomes unavailable, the currently unavailable Synergy version would then, likely, go back up for sale and that Synergy version is ASIN: B01HQGA6A4 .

Please don't allow yourself to be drawn in by the allure of a 98 minute running time. That version does not exist in the home market, as of this point, if it even exists, I am sorry to say.

I hope this helps you to find and select what will work best for you but, most importantly, I hope this will save you money. Good luck hunting down the film that will brighten your day.

Whichever way you approach this movie, it is downright poor. The story, the script, the cinematography, the editing, the acting, it's all pretty dire.
In fact, if Lana Wood wasn't in the film, it wouldn't even rate one star.
It's a major disappointment, and potential buyers would be better turning their attention elsewhere!

As it was only $9.99 (plus shipping-and-handling), I was not expecting much, to begin with.

All it is , is the 'usual' 'pan-and-scan' version, in stereo. There are no other features at all, not even a 'scene-selection'.

It has not even been 'remastered'. At least, it is on 'DVD'.

Technically, the transfer leaves much to be desired. However, for any fan of Lana Wood, this DVD must reside in your collection. Lana Wood, of course, starred as Plenty O'Toole in the James Bond flick Diamonds Are Forever. You don't get to see much of her tantalizing beauty there, but not so for Satan's Mistress (aka Demon Rage). Lana Wood has a truly natural beauty of face and figure that makes her one of my all time favorite Bond girls, and this movie leaves little of that beauty up to the imagination.

The plot involves a husband ignoring his lovely wife, and an evil prescence stepping in to take over. She resists at first in several nude scenes, but finally succumbs to his carnal ministrations. What happens? Well, watch this early eighties exploition movie and find out!

Lana Wood has truly unappreciated beauty and talent. You will find no other movie to my knowledge that exposes more of her charms than Satan's Mistress.
