Husband Charged in Death of Michigan Mom Sarah Grant, Who Was Tortured With Scissors
Authorities responding to a call about a possible homicide found the slain body of a Michigan mom last week. Sarah Grant, 45, of Westland was found May 3 in the garage of her home, covered in slashes. The person allegedly responsible is the husband and father of her children, 49-year-old William Scott Grant, who has been arrested and charged in the crime with murder and torture.

The Michigan man stabbed his wife to death with a pair of scissors, authorities say.
As if that were not gruesome enough, the killer left her body in the family garage where she could have easily been discovered — mutilated and covered in blood — by her daughters.
The Michigan mom was pronounced dead at the scene.
William Grant allegedly left his wife mortally wounded on the garage floor before leaving, according to People.
William Grant left before officers arrived at the home around 9 p.m. May 3, but they found and arrested him later that night. He faces counts of premeditated first-degree murder, felony murder and torture in connection with the murder of his wife, noted a Wayne County prosecutor's office press release.
The father is being held without bail.
William Grant is being held without bail at the Wayne County jail, and all three charges are felonies, People reported.
Court records show that his next court date is May 19 for a probable cause hearing. It wasn't immediately clear if he has retained a lawyer.
A preliminary examination is set for May 26, according to Law & Crime. If he's convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison without parole.
This one horrific act has taken both parents from the Grant girls.
A GoFundMe campaign organized by Sarah Grant’s cousin, Lindsay Dunn, has raised nearly $42,000 thus far for the funeral. The mom leaves behind two daughters, Madison and Reagan. Any money raised above funeral costs will go directly to the young women.
